Back to square 1 with E girl names - thoughts on these?

Looks like [name_f]Emme[/name_f] is not working out so I’m back to the drawing board.

Need full names for these nns:
[name_f]Estie[/name_f] - Maybe Estine?
Ensie - Does this get lumped in with [name_f]McKenzie[/name_f]?
Enley/Enlie - Enley might look like a misspelled [name_m]Henley[/name_m], also could get lumped in with all the -ley endings.

Essalie - husband does not like nn [name_f]Essie[/name_f], so full name only here
[name_f]Elora[/name_f] - probably too close to my [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]

[name_f]Non[/name_f] E name: [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. What about full name Millette like Millette [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]? Too feminine and frilly?

Siblings are [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] & [name_f]Evie[/name_f]

I think some of these feel really forced. I like nn, but most of the time they develop naturally. Your daughters’ names and nicknames are actual names, so they feel less forced than some of your choices. Not sure if you’ll like these, but some of my favorite E names.

[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]- I really like this with your girls’ names. Maybe [name_f]Edie[/name_f]?
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]

Good luck!

What about [name_f]Estella[/name_f]… and calling her [name_f]Essie[/name_f]? it has the same sound as your other daughters, but a completely different “E” beginning.

[name_f]Estie[/name_f] seems too close to Etsy… I think people might say it that way if they read it too fast.

Good luck!

What about [name_u]Echo[/name_u]? It’s so short that it doesn’t need a nickname and it has a distinctive ending.

[name_f]Estie[/name_f] could be [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] or some variation.
Ensie is just odd to my eyes and ears.
Ley endings are not nearly as trendy as son-ending and maiden rhyming names. But you are correct that it will get confused with [name_m]Henley[/name_m] because that is a better known name.
Essalie is unique enough to stand on it’s own.
[name_f]ELora[/name_f] is nice-too bad you have an [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as yes I think it’s extremely close.
My favorite E names are Ellowyn,[name_u]Ever[/name_u], [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eirian[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], Esmerie, [name_f]Eve[/name_f], and [name_f]Ellen[/name_f].

Well, there’s always [name_f]Effie[/name_f] (short for…[name_f]Iphigenia[/name_f], unfortunately. Maybe something like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] could work too? Though I know that’s basically [name_f]Evie[/name_f].). I think it could use a comeback and would fit in with your sibset nicely. [name_m]Just[/name_m] be aware of “eff-this” and “eff-that” teasing when she’s a teenager. I thought of [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] as well, but that’s too close to [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. Millette sounds made up to me, but I actually like the sound of it better than [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] or [name_f]Mildred[/name_f]. And plus I love [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. I was afraid that it sounds the same as [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], but when I said them out loud, they seemed different enough.

I just searched Ef- names to be of better use. Here’s the list:
[name_f]Effemie[/name_f]/[name_f]Effemy[/name_f] - I think this might include your like of [name_f]Emme[/name_f] nicely.
[name_f]Effa[/name_f]
[name_f]Effia[/name_f]
[name_f]Effam[/name_f]
[name_f]Efthemia[/name_f] (this is a name? Huh. Learn new things every day, I guess)

I agree that some of these seem forced. From your list, I like [name_f]Elora[/name_f] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. I like the suggestion of [name_f]Estella[/name_f] or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. She could be [name_f]Essie[/name_f].

Hmm…
I really love [name_f]Emme[/name_f] she’s really sweet! But with [name_f]Emme[/name_f] isn’t your thing then defiantly go back to the drawing board!!

[name_f]Estie[/name_f] - I’m not keen on Estine for me she sounds like pristine too me. I like [name_f]Esther[/name_f], I think [name_f]Estie[/name_f] would work as a nice nickname for [name_f]Esther[/name_f], she’s a lovely biblical name.

Ensie - Ugh awful nickname! I also hate [name_f]Mckenzie[/name_f] which is just unattractive.

Enley - What? Seriously this is just strange! Suggestion [name_f]Elena[/name_f]?

Essalie - Hmm I dislike how this name visually looks, I also dislike how this name sounds.

[name_f]Elora[/name_f] - I adore the name [name_f]Elora[/name_f] she’s so pretty and elegant! [name_f]Elora[/name_f] is defiantly my style. But yes too similar with [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].

[name_f]Millie[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] she’s a nice, wholesome name. Very sweet. But [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] they rhyme!

Millette - Yes I really like this name! I assume the combination is Millette [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] not [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] (boy’s names!) if so I adore this name.

If the siblings are [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] I would go with another ‘e’ name my suggestions…
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_u]Eden[/name_u]’
[name_f]Ebony[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Ebony[/name_f]’
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Edith[/name_f]’
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]’
[name_f]Erica[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Erica[/name_f]’
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]’
[name_f]Erin[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Erin[/name_f]’
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]’
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]’
Emsa ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Esma[/name_f]’
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Etta[/name_f]’
[name_f]Elicia[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and [name_f]Elicia[/name_f]’

I agree that a lot of these feel forced.

Sorry for any repeats:
[name_f]Emina[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_u]Ember[/name_u]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
[name_u]Emory[/name_u]
[name_f]Erin[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmerelda[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]

[name_f]Etienette[/name_f] will get you Este (it’s a [name_m]French[/name_m] form of [name_m]Steven[/name_m]/[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]). The only E name I really love is [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] ([name_f]Evie[/name_f] or [name_u]Ange[/name_u])

What about Estée?

I like [name_f]Estee[/name_f] and Millette is an amazingly cute and vintage sounding name! Other ideas are:
[name_f]Etoile[/name_f] (Et-w-are-l)
Etoilee (Etw-are-lee)
[name_f]Elva[/name_f]
[name_f]Ethie[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]

What about [name_f]Effy[/name_f]? It’s one of the many nn for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] seems perfect: [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmie[/name_f].

I love Estlin (this was E.E. Cummings second name and I think it goes great with your other girls!) and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Estella[/name_f] for NN [name_f]Estie[/name_f].

I do think the others feel too forced, and I think Essalie clashes with [name_u]Ellison[/name_u]… and I don’t like that it’s made up. I remember you saying you liked boyish or surnamey first names with cute nicknames, so how about these?

[name_u]Embry[/name_u]/[name_u]Emery[/name_u]/[name_u]Emory[/name_u]/[name_u]Emmett[/name_u] - NN [name_f]Emme[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]
[name_u]Ezri[/name_u] or [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] - doesn’t need a NN, but maybe Ezzie?
[name_u]Emlyn[/name_u] - NN [name_f]Emme[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]
[name_u]Ennis[/name_u] - Enzie might work as a NN for this?
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Eyre[/name_f]
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]
[name_f]Earhart[/name_f] - NN Aerie? Has a great namesake…

I’d use [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] for the nickname [name_f]Millie[/name_f].
