My husband and I are trying to narrow down our girls name, but we can’t find anything that we both equally love. I thought Savannah was it, but I don’t love the name. It feels too long next to my sons name which is Miles.
I have always loved Ansley Grace (not Ainsley) and that has always been my favorite for like the last 15 years (since I was 19 years old), but recently have had a change of heart because so many people dislike it. I really like Everly and Harper, but then wonder if they’re too trendy? I feel like Harper is the new Jennifer. I loved Olivia and shouldn’t have told my SIL, but did and so she of course used it.
Grace must be the middle name because I love the meaning behind Grace. Eve would be the only other middle name I would consider.
Here is my long list:
Isla
Scarlett
Briar <– cute, but not sure I would ever use this
Aurora w/ nn Rory
Sophie/a <– Husband’s #1 choice, but seems too popular now?
Bella
Savannah <– husband’s second choice. I like it, but feels too long and somewhat dated.
Emerson with nn Emme
Ava <– Like, but seems overdone now
Phoebe
Skylar <– Cute, but not sure if it’s dated?
Kendall <– name I loved, but seems dated now?
I love [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. Have you considered using [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as a first name? You love it, and it beautiful.
If you love [name_f]Ansley[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], I think you should go for it! A name that was once your favorite will always hold a special place in your heart.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are equally lovely, and have the same sort of feel as [name_f]Ansley[/name_f] to me.
As for [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]–yes, it’s popular. But all popular names are that way for a reason!
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] feel a little similar for my taste.
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is STUNNING.
What about [name_f]Gracen[/name_f] as a first name? I think it works nicely with [name_m]Miles[/name_m]!
I don’t think [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] is dated or too long with [name_m]Miles[/name_m]; I think they work really nicely together. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Ansley[/name_f], and I do think [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/a are really overdone, but they’re nice names. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] is the same amount of syllables as [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], and personally I think [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] is much prettier. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a beautiful name but I’m not sure I can see her as a sister to [name_m]Miles[/name_m].
From your list, I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] are both really nice with [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. Good luck naming your daughter
My personal favorites and the ones I feel go best with [name_m]Miles[/name_m] are the same; [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], and [name_f]Ava[/name_f].
Another vote for [name_f]Ansley[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. If your husband is on board I would suggest ignoring comments from those that have said they don’t like it because this baby is you and your husband’s to name. Maybe refrain from name discussions with friends and family as it is difficult to see beyond their negative comments and they shake our confidence. We all have different tastes and naming styles. I also really like [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] (I don’t find it dated). Have you considered going straight to [name_f]Emme[/name_f]. I think it’s very sweet and if you would be calling her that then it would be great to use as her formal name. [name_f]Emme[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is lovely.
