I thought we had finally narrowed things down to DH’s pick and my pick… with me thinking that I would win. However, DH just told me that he didn’t really want to cave into my pick because he doesn’t want to name our daughter my choice. Unfortunately, I just really don’t want to cave in and use his pick either… which leaves us back at square one apparently.
So please help!!! I’m 33 weeks and I really want this poor baby to have a name!!
Background/info
It’s a girl
My pick: [name]Verity[/name] / DH’s pick: [name]Wesley[/name] (yes for a girl and I know most don’t like it)
Names that have been vetoed: [name]Ainsley[/name], [name]Ansley[/name], [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Haven[/name], [name]Arden[/name], [name]Afton[/name], [name]Bellamy[/name], …I"m sure there were more.
Current kids names:
[name]Son[/name]: [name]Logan[/name]
[name]Son[/name]: [name]Ransom[/name]
Daughter: [name]Everly[/name]
[name]General[/name] theme, pattern, likes, etc:
[name]Unique[/name] (not top 500 but not top 1000 is even better. … somehow we missed that mark with [name]Logan[/name] though lol)
English seems to be our theme but it’s not a necessity
So far we have a english surname thing going but it was unintentional and doesn’t have to be that way.
The first thought that came to mind was [name]Regan[/name], which I think fits with your other children’s names (pronounced either [name]REE[/name]-gan or [name]RAY[/name]-gan, but I prefer [name]REE[/name]). It’s ranked 950ish last time I checked.
ETA: It’s ranked 950ish in the U.S. is what I should have said. Not sure about other countries.
I think you’re fond of that ending -y sound for your girls, given [name]Everly[/name], [name]Wesley[/name], [name]Verity[/name] and many of your rejected choices. Given your desire to stay out of the top 500, how about these slightly surname-y options:
