I don’t think dd has a name that matches her. It’s a problem that I’ve had since day one. Her nickname kind of suits her but her full name, not at all. I have #2 on the way (a boy) and don’t want to end up in the same spot I am now. Idk how to avoid it because I’m constantly changing my mind and name list.

Honestly, I don’t much believe in this theory, that names have ‘personality.’ They have imagery, history, connotations and associations, but not personality. The only thing that would seem off would be a strong ethnic mismatch-- a really long Nigerian O name, or a Sanskrit name, or something Chinese.
However, just for funsies, I’ll guess [name]Callie[/name], [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Madeline[/name].
I can definitely see her as a [name]Madeline[/name], [name]Gabrielle[/name], or [name]Sophia[/name]. [name]Tabitha[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name] maybe as well. I’m sure she has a name as beautiful as she is though!

She’s exactly how I imagine a [name]Ramona[/name] to be! But I agree with pp that [name]Tabitha[/name] would suit her too.
[name]Amelia[/name] or some variation of [name]Amy[/name] is my first thought. I agree on [name]Tabitha[/name] and also like [name]Maggie[/name] ([name]Margaret[/name]?) or [name]Hattie[/name] ([name]Harriet[/name]?)
Personally, I’d try to work from her nickname that you think suits her rather than naming her again from scratch since she probably knows her name at this point.
I think, from reading the OP’s posting history, that the little girls’ name is actually [name]Gabrielle[/name], which dillonsfan guessed!
If so, and you think she’s more of a [name]Gabby[/name], that’s because she’s a toddler. [name]Just[/name] watch, I bet she will grow gracefully into a [name]Gabrille[/name] and will be grateful she has such a pretty, formal, elegant name.

She’s definitely spunky and very outgoing. I just think of a [name]Gabrielle[/name] as a delicate girl and wearing lots of bows and frilly dresses for some reason (which she refuses to do)! lineska suggested her middle name, which is [name]Amelia[/name]. [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], and [name]Hazel[/name] are names we considered but couldn’t use.

Since her name’s been revealed, I just wanted to suggest an idea based on your post. I know that newborns obviously grow and change as they get older, but I know a lot of people who go in with a few names and see which one “fits” best when they actually see their baby. Maybe you could do that for your son? Find 3-5 that you could see yourself using and then match the face to the name.
