Are there any bad associations (in pop-culture or other) that brought a name that you now like to your attention?
For me it would be [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Prior[/name_m] from Divergent and [name_u]Maria[/name_u] [name_u]Reynolds[/name_u] in [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m], which made me like the Muh-rye-uh pronounciation of that name.
Arsinoë - [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f]’s younger sister who tried to overthrow her
[name_f]Melisande[/name_f] - [name_f]Melisandre[/name_f] is the red witch in Game of Thrones
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] - [name_m]Ronin[/name_m] is an antagonist in [name_u]Marvel[/name_u] comics
[name_u]Clove[/name_u] - The Hunger Games
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u] - [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]
[name_m]Theon[/name_m] - Game of Thrones
[name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] - [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]
I can agree with [name_u]Clove[/name_u] from the Hunger Games. I hadn’t heard the name until I read the series. I didn’t like it at first, but now I do.
