I just discovered this name. The blog British [name]Baby[/name] Names describes it as, “A popular Manx name, now fallen out of use. The etymology is uncertain.” I found it elsewhere listed as a diminuitive of Breeshey, the Manx form of [name]Bridget[/name]. A third site listed to pronunciation as “BAH-ee.”

I’m rolling it around in my brain. What do you think of it? Has anyone encountered this name before or met anyone named Bahee? [name]Do[/name] you think that Bahee nicknamed [name]Bee[/name] could work?

I think it’s too crazy for my taste, but what matters is if you like the name. [name]Bee[/name] is a cute nickname but probably won’t age well.

I’ve never encountered the name before. It’s one of those names where I’m not sure how I feel until I see it on someone. I’d say it’s usable.

I don’t think I understand the pronunciation. To me, BAH-ee sounds like “bye.” It’s not my style, but [name]Bee[/name] is a really cute nickname.
