Baker James

[name]Leigh[/name]-allyn [name]Baker[/name] just named her son [name]Baker[/name] [name]James[/name]. I find it weird to use your maiden name as a first name for your child, although I know people who think differently. What do you think?

Well, whether I would use a surname for a child’s first name totally depends on the last name. Personally, I would not use my surname because it sounds too violent (although I know some people who like the sound of my surname and have used it). I’m not a fan of [name]Baker[/name] but it certainly fits in with the current trend of choosing occupational names like [name]Mason[/name], [name]Harper[/name], [name]Bailey[/name], [name]Piper[/name], [name]Spencer[/name], [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Cooper[/name] etc…

I. [name]Don[/name]'t like it at all…very strange choice…but then again I don’t like her name either…[name]Leigh[/name]- [name]Allyn[/name]…double barrle yuck

I love the meaning behind the name choice of [name]Baker[/name] [name]James[/name]. It honors her,her husband, and her father-in-law, which is fantastic.

[name]Baker[/name] still feels really unusual , but it’s growing on me.

It sounds nice !

I guess I’m in the minority. I love it! It goes really well with their other son’s name ([name]Griffin[/name]), and I happen to prefer it when surnames-used-as-first-names have meaning to them. My maiden name is going to be used if I’m lucky enough to have a baby boy in future. It’s just a matter of whether it will be used as his first name or middle name

Yeah, [name]Baker[/name] & [name]Griffen[/name] are awesome together. But I don’t really like either name a lot ([name]Baker[/name], [name]James[/name],) but it is still a great combo…
