[name_u]Hilary[/name_u] [name_u]Duff[/name_u] has named her new daughter [name_m]Banks[/name_m] [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but…[name_m]Banks[/name_m] why…It just makes me think of the old Agent [name_u]Cody[/name_u] [name_m]Banks[/name_m] movies she was in! A possible nod to that? Last name is Bair so she is [name_m]Banks[/name_m] Bair which sounds like a robber teddy bear to me.
Her son’s name is [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] so I feel like it also doesn’t match that style at all, although it is from a different marriage. Her sister also had a baby girl recently [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] which I loved.
What would you have named her instead? I’m going to go with [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
If they had reversed the first and middle it would have been find. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]Banks[/name_m] Bair. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] isn’t my style but I didn’t think it was a bad choice. Not sure what [name_u]Hilary[/name_u] [name_u]Duff[/name_u] was thinking with this new baby’s name. Maybe her ex-husband had good naming taste and her current boyfriend doesn’t?
[name_m]Banks[/name_m] would be better as the middle name. Maybe they intend to call her [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
I like your suggestion MUCH better, but it feels like [name_m]Banks[/name_m] must have been a required name.
[name_m]Banks[/name_m] Bair sounds like a boy.
At least her initials aren’t BVD! … like the underwear… LOL
Haha maybe! I agree [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]Banks[/name_m] is much better. Maybe it was a family name then in that case I would feel bad. My hopes were high though because I liked her son’s name.
[name_m]Even[/name_m] if it was a family name, it still should have gone in the middle. That’s what the middle name spot is for. Family names that you don’t actually want to saddle your child with. LOL.
When I saw it, I thought it was [name_m]Banks[/name_m] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] and assumed she gave her daughter two middles. I didn’t realize her bf had a stage name and real name. I always wonder if people say the full name out loud before choosing.
I was surprised when I first heard it but I think it works pretty well. I’ve heard of girls named [name_u]Collins[/name_u] and [name_m]Hayes[/name_m], so [name_m]Banks[/name_m] isn’t all that out there and I much prefer it to what a singer named his daughter ([name_m]Palmer[/name_m]). I would prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]Banks[/name_m], but I’m guessing [name_m]Banks[/name_m] has some sort of meaning for them. I hope they give some sort of story behind her name because I’d love to hear it!
I recently read an interview of hers, and she said they’d at first planned to used [name_f]Violet[/name_f] as the first name, but then settled on [name_m]Banks[/name_m] and decided to put [name_f]Violet[/name_f] in the middle. I’ve heard worse, and I hope it’s meaningful to them, but it’s not my style. I will say, the baby is super cute.
[name_m]Banks[/name_m] is an awful name for a girl (or boy for that matter!). It doesn’t flow with [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. If she had to use it, it should be as a mn.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]Banks[/name_m] just sounds better to my ears, but to each his own. I’m actually super curious as to why she decided to flip the names around and maybe one day she’ll clarify, but for now whenever I think of [name_m]Banks[/name_m] I just think of money. Lots of money.
I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but at least it’s a normal name…[name_m]Banks[/name_m] is horrible…She’s a celebrity though…They often give terrible names to their kids…
