[name_f]My[/name_f] partner and I are expecting our daughter in [name_u]December[/name_u] and we’ve yet to decide on her middle name. Her first name is [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] and our surname is two syllables.
I prefer [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] with one of the shorter names: [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u] is really pretty.
Try saying the names out loud with your surname to see if any sound funny when said with your surname. ie. if your last name is [name_m]Robins[/name_m], then [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] [name_m]Robins[/name_m] has a lot of R sounds. I actually would eliminate [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] as [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] already has 2 Rs, to add in a 3rd is a lot and sounds chunky. I would also eliminate [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] for that reason.
I like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but I think it’s too long with [name_f]Barbara[/name_f].
If you pronounce [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] with 3 syllables, then I think [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] or [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u] sound the best.
If you pronounce [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] with 2 syllables, then I think [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] also works. But, unless your surname is short, I feel like this name may be too long.
