What do you think of the name [name]Bardot[/name] [name]Vita[/name]. It’s the name of [name]David[/name] Boreanaz & [name]Jaime[/name] Bergman’s new baby girl.
Definitely a Hollywood name, although Hollywood isn’t the only ones who come up with creative names. I found the name Tapestry [name]Noel[/name] (a girl) the other day. I made it my name of the day on my blog http://names4real.wordpress.com/ today as I have never seen a Tapestry before.
I guess it’s okay, as long as [name]Bardot[/name] rhymes with [name]Margot[/name] (and not a combination of the words bar and dot)… I’ve never heard it before, but perhaps it’s a family name? or some French word, my knowledge is limited I’m afraid… The sound is good and [name]Vita[/name] is a great name! I’d rather use [name]Vita[/name] [name]Bardot[/name] or [name]Margot[/name] [name]Vita[/name] myself, but to each his own… It’s better than [name]Audio[/name] [name]Science[/name] and [name]Peaches[/name] Honeyblossom and such… This one is an actual name and not terms of endearment or a wannabe college class… ^^
And milikate, Tapestry [name]Noel[/name] is innovative! Kudos to her parents for being completely unique rather then misspell a perfectly good name… Tapestry would NOT be my first choice though, and [name]Noel[/name] should remain a boys name, especially when you have pretty [name]Noelle[/name] as a girl version already… If I were to do something similar, I’d probably choose [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Florian[/name] or something like that ^^ Not Tapestry at least…
I was wondering when this one would happen. If the Old Hollywood revival started with [name]Ava[/name] and moved to surnames with [name]Harlow[/name], [name]Bardot[/name] was only a matter of time. I suppose we’ll see a few Garbos soon too (although I know [name]Mila[/name] Jovovitch already had a mn of [name]Gabo[/name]). It’s a pity in some ways - I think without [name]Brigitte[/name], [name]Bardot[/name] loses some of it’s melody and doesn’t make a great fn. They would have been better going for [name]Vita[/name] [name]Bardot[/name] or [name]Brigitte[/name] [name]Vita[/name], but I don’t suppose that’s Hollywood enough for celebrity namers.
Other surnames that I think might come up before this one jumps the shark:
Bergman
[name]Dietrich[/name]
[name]Brando[/name]
[name]Loren[/name]
[name]Holliday[/name]
Hepburn
[name]Monroe[/name] (actually, I’m surprised nobody’s gone with [name]Marilyn[/name] yet)
Sinatra (could they? would they?)
Let’s just hope nobody uses “Andress”!
Innovative? Are you serious! I couldn’t believe the name let alone that. Although I bet when the poor girl comes running home from school in tears from kids teasing her about her name her parents can reassure her and say ‘don’t worry honey, it’s innovative’. I mean come on. [name]Do[/name] these people even know what tapestry is? otherwise some one should tell them they have named their child after pieces of painted carpet.
I could never have that girl in my class and not hear the scene in Last Crusade where [name]Indy[/name] announces in that awful Scottish accent that he and his assistant are there to view the tapestries…
I think the hugest drawback of this name is that [name]Brigitte[/name] [name]Bardot[/name] has turned out to be a horrible racist. She has been fined for her racist and anti-homosexual statements several times. Who want’s be named after such a person?
I like [name]Vita[/name]… sort of. I think the whole name tries to be Hollywood but sort of sounds like an expensive cheese (sorta ironic?) or someplace the [name]Love[/name] Boat might pull into port. I don’t think “[name]Bardo[/name]” sounds pretty. I didn’t really like [name]Harlow[/name], but there, you don’t have just imagery, you have a pleasant sounding word. Where I grew up, [name]Bardo[/name]'s was a seedy motel. Oh, but it’s [name]Bar[/name]-DOH. Like Pla-DOH? Despite the beautiful actress, I think this word ‘[name]Bardot[/name]’ only works in relation to her first name. I also didn’t know she was a racist, so minus minus. I wasn’t even thinking of Velveeta when I thought it sounds like cheese. I think [name]Vita[/name] could have potential with another name and not sound like cheese.
Wow this thread is from a while ago, but I thought I might comment that they had it changed to [name]Bella[/name] [name]Vita[/name] [name]Bardot[/name]. Not something I would name MY child (see signature), but not the worst. Also, I agree that it’s terrible that [name]Brigitte[/name] [name]Bardot[/name] isn’t turning out to be who people saw her as.
