Am I crazy for considering using the name [name_m]Bart[/name_m]?
(Probably would give the full name [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m])
Obviously everyone thinks of [name_m]Bart[/name_m] [name_m]Simpson[/name_m]. But he’s great!
At first it started as a bit of a joke but I feel like… I’m starting to take it quite seriously.
What do you think?

My first thought was [name_m]Bart[/name_m] [name_m]Simpson[/name_m], as well…and that’s coming from someone who wasn’t at all allowed to watch that show, or similar ones (like Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m]), growing up lol…I first saw it in high school when a teacher made us do a project regarding the show. I digress. The association isn’t a great one, in my opinion. Additionally, it reminds me of ‘barf’ and ‘fart’, neither of which are pleasant. So ‘’’‘I’’’’ wouldn’t use it for my own son. That being said, I totally know what it’s like to hear a name that you initially don’t like or think of as an actual potential contender, then have it grow on you…in my case, [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] (which has its own associations as well, which others wouldn’t like).
Going back to [name_m]Bart[/name_m], I guess I could see it working. Honestly, with how popular that show is, people would probably not necessarily mind the association and might even think it’s cool. [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] itself, I find more appealing. I read a book in which there was a [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] “Tolly”, which I think is pretty sweet 
Sorry, I think [name_m]Bart[/name_m] is really bad. [name_m]Just[/name_m] an unattractive name [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I’m afraid I just have too strong of an association with [name_m]Bart[/name_m] [name_m]Simpson[/name_m] to like this name, I’m sorry! What about as a middle name? I do like [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m], however!

I’m cool with it. A little [name_m]Bart[/name_m] would be adorable. I’m considering a name that has a possible nickname of [name_u]Bert[/name_u] and I’m fine with it. [name_f]Do[/name_f] it!

I don’t like it as a full name, but if it’s a nickname for [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m](which I really like) I’m pretty neutral on it. I prefer [name_u]Barry[/name_u] thanks to [name_m]Grant[/name_m] Gustin on The [name_m]Flash[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Barthelemy[/name_m] (as in St Barts). [name_m]Homer[/name_m] has become more acceptable in recent years in spite of it being so attached to the Simpsons.
My first association for [name_m]Bart[/name_m] is [name_m]Bart[/name_m] [name_m]Maverick[/name_m], from the old western TV show [name_m]Maverick[/name_m].
