I voted for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] because a) I love the the name [name_f]Jane[/name_f]; and b) the [name_f]CosiMA[/name_f] [name_f]MAE[/name_f] connection isn’t the best flow. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is okay-- it’s sweeter whereas [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is more spunky.
I’ll just rank them according to what sounds best to me.
I agree with the pp that [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] doesn’t flow as well as [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], so that’s why it’s third.
I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] best because I love the name [name_f]Lila[/name_f], and because it has a very pretty, feminine sound =]
Another vote for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] because it flows much better. I dunno, it is such a pretty name but I think I still SLIGHTLY prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. There’s something very sweet about [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I keep imagining a little girl in a bright sundress playing in a swing. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], on the other hand, seems more serious to me.
I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] to [name_f]Jane[/name_f] but based on flow alone I voted [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] over [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] ______ to [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] personally (mostly for the imagery).
AC(?) is timeless sophistication; waterfalls, stars and rich scarlet tones. Metropolitan and European.
ALP is a little more twee; she’s a playground in [name_u]June[/name_u], floral skirts, huge hazel eyes. Kittens and pencil drawings.
Is [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] an option, by the way?
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is gorgeous
I do feel [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is almost rhymes with [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], If you love [name_f]Mae[/name_f], what about [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]?
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! It flows beautifully.
I love both [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f], but I agree [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] might be a bit of a tongue twister. I feel like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is feistier and cooler, a reporter or journalist chasing down leads for the perfect story. Whereas [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is quiet and caring, she loves everyone and always wants to help. Both have great imagery, but I prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. It’s so good I’m starting to like [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] now!
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is really pretty and as pp’s said, wonderfully spunky. I also don’t like the repetition of m sounds between [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
Thanks, everyone! I figured I’d try to get [name_f]Mae[/name_f] in there, as my grandmother’s name was [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], and I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] OR [name_f]Mae[/name_f], so when I actually like it in a combo I try to seize it. I think my thing is more that I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] for a full combo, and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] in general (but I don’t like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]–in look, never mind in sound!–in full quite so much as I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]). I am definitely open to more options–I like the idea of not ending a combo in a one-syllable or slightly filler-ish mn (like [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], etc., even though many of them are family names for me), so I am certainly open to other options, although [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] don’t honor family, and I do want a family name. Most of my family names are short ([name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], etc.), and those that don’t I don’t think sound great with [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] ([name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Karen[/name_f]? [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]? [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]? I suppose that one is okay, but [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] seems quite long, and I don’t like the balance of names as much as I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]? [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]? [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f]? They just seem too long with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] as it is.). I have been thinking about a floral name, since a lot of them are reminiscent of my mom, but [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] was the only one that I thought sounded semi-good. Or maybe [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]? Does anyone like any of those better than [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]?
@[name_f]Luna[/name_f] - Aww, well, I do like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], but I was getting a little tired of it and was wanting to look for a fresher option, anyway, so now that I’m really loving [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], I kind of think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is out. I do like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f] a lot, but maybe I can find room for [name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] somewhere else.
@[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - meh, I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] for some reason–[name_f]Cosima[/name_f] feels very vintage to me, although I don’t know why, and so [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] with something else vintage (like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] or [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] or [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]) makes it feel really old-lady to me, and not in a pleasant way. I don’t know why [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] feels vintage to me, though, lol, because I don’t think she really is.
@xmintiex - Aww, well, [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a family name, which is the whole reason behind using it. I don’t think I’d be a massive [name_f]Mae[/name_f] fan otherwise. So while I would consider [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] to honor my grandmother as well (or really any name with the [name_f]May[/name_f] sound, like [name_f]Macy[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], or Esmée), I seem to have a love-hate relationship with [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], and rarely seem to be able to get excited about it, even though she’s a lovely name. I always keep her in the back of my head as an option to honor my grandmother, but haven’t found anything I would want to commit to yet.
@myosotis - I’m glad to have sparked an interest! [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] is seriously cool, imo, and I would love to see it get used more.
