[name_f]Elena[/name_f] is a beautiful Spanish name, but when pronounced by an American, it can lose the Spanish feel all together, and sound like [name_f]Alaina[/name_f]. Still pretty, but maybe not what you’re looking for. The same can be said for a lot of names, such as [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. Which means [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ends up sounding TOTALLY different than it would in Spanish.
If you want the Spanish feel to come through even with an American accent, you have to use names that are more completely Spanish.
Instead of [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], use [name_f]Rosalinda[/name_f], [name_u]Rosario[/name_u] (It can sound kind of masculine, I know), [name_f]Rosalina[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f], etc.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is nice, but [name_f]Viviana[/name_f] is a more “Spanish” alternative. Names that sound similar are: [name_f]Valeria[/name_f], [name_f]Violeta[/name_f] and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f].
Personally, I love [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. It has a delicate feel to it, while being slightly vintage. I think [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Viviana[/name_f] is a really beautiful name.
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is also a gorgeous name, and that’s my favorite way to spell it. [name_f]Remember[/name_f], in Spanish, [name_f]Julieta[/name_f] is pronounced Hoo-li-ET-ah (or something similar, I’m not very good at phonetics ) So you have to be careful, because I know a lot of people aren’t comfortable with the ‘h’ sound.
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] definitely doesn’t fit with the Spanish theme. Try [name_f]Felicita[/name_f] or [name_f]Florentina[/name_f], though those might be TOO Spanish for your liking.
Some other ‘regal’ sounding Spanish names that I like, are:
