Our son has to be an “M” name, and we have finaled it down to two: [name_m]Madden[/name_m] and [name_u]Mason[/name_u]. I personally like [name_m]Madden[/name_m] better between the two, but am unsure with our last name. Last name is Lessans (pronounced the same as “lessons”). Thanks for your input!

I prefer [name_m]Madden[/name_m].

I prefer [name_m]Madden[/name_m], and I think it works well with your surname. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] is a fine name but very popular these days.

Another vote for [name_m]Madden[/name_m]!

I like [name_m]Madden[/name_m] better because it’s not nearly as popular as [name_u]Mason[/name_u]…it also works better with your last name imo, because [name_u]Mason[/name_u] has the same -son/-san ending so it kinda clashes

My only concern (with both names) is that the full name sounds like “lessons for being mad” or “lessons for being a mason”. Since both are sort of words. I’m sure I am reading too much into it :stuck_out_tongue:

I choose [name_m]Madden[/name_m] because [name_u]Mason[/name_u] is a noun and sounds a little strange with your last name.

I love that [name_m]Madden[/name_m] is less popular than [name_u]Mason[/name_u], and I think it sounds better with your last name. My only hiccup is that I immediately think of [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Madden[/name_m] and the popular video game series named after him, which is often just called “[name_m]Madden[/name_m].” But hey, there could be worse associations!

Thank you all! Super helpful!

Definitely [name_m]Madden[/name_m], I think it sounds better than your last name to be honest. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] actually clashes with it imo!

[name_m]Ive[/name_m] never heard of [name_m]Madden[/name_m] as a first name, but I like it! It sounds better with your last name, as I find [name_u]Mason[/name_u] too repetitive with your last name. [name_f]May[/name_f] we know why his name must start with M?

[name_m]Maxen[/name_m]
[name_m]Macsen[/name_m]
[name_m]Madoc[/name_m]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m]
[name_m]Merrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Maverick[/name_m]

It’s a family thing- all the first boys have M names.
My daughter was spared

[name_m]Madden[/name_m] is the better one in my opinon. Would [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] also be of interest?

I much prefer [name_u]Mason[/name_u], although it’s very popular lately. But with your surname [name_m]Madden[/name_m] sounds better, so my vote would be for [name_m]Madden[/name_m].

Definitely [name_m]Madden[/name_m] with your surname.

[name_m]Madden[/name_m] sounds better with your surname. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] Lessons sounds like you’re teaching someone to be a stonemason.

[name_m]Madden[/name_m]! Very cute.

I love [name_m]Madden[/name_m]! I don’t think the lessons in being mad/mad in lessons is a big issue. I doubt I’d have thought of that if you hadn’t pointed it out. All the best!
