What do we think of Beaton as a fun way to get to [name_f]Bea[/name_f]? I really like the sound, but I’m wondering if it’s too tied to the clothing brand or the photographer.
[name_f]My[/name_f] biggest concern would be the word beaten (and the like - beat, beating). I honestly just think of physical abuse, I’m so sorry I really don’t want to be so negative!
i’m personally not a fan, it’s too harsh for my liking (close in sound to beaten/beat/beating). i wouldn’t use it as a first, but it would work if you really it to; Bea softens it a little.
it has that surname-y feel, which is one of the reasons why i think it works. i don’t associate it with a clothing brand or photographer, though.
I love the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] but Beaton is just, no, I’m sorry to say that but all I hear is beaten, as in beaten up, or a beating so all I think of is abuse. There’s tons of names that can get the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] that are gorgeous but Beaton is a big no from me
[name_m]Ah[/name_m], of course! I don’t know why I didn’t connect it to the word beaten, I think I’m pronouncing them slightly differently in my head.
I was into it for the surnamey feeling @Indilee mentioned but I can see it probably wouldnt work.
Maybe [name_f]Beata[/name_f]? I think of what the previous posters mentioned too.
It reminds me a bit too much of the word beaten
