Definitely [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. A beautiful, classic, elegant name. I’m sure [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is, too, but I cannot understand its appeal, especially in comparison to [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. That x just ruins it for me, I can’t place why.

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is beautiful!

Honestly, you really can’t go wrong with either! I go back and forth between the two, but I like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] a little better currently. I think [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] just has more of a special sound.

I love both but I feel the name would feel a little old fashioned if you picked [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], but [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] gives a modern feel to seamlessly pair [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], so beautiful!

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] used to be my preferred, but lately I’ve been loving [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. I think my naming style just gets more conservative the older I get, so that’s part of it. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] feels softer, whereas [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is spunky.

They’re both lovely, though. I like the option of Bex as a nn for [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. And it has the [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] association.

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is very frumpy to me and doesn’t compare to the spunky and sweet [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]!

I absolutely adore both, but I slightly prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. I get a different vibe from both, so I think it depends on what you’re going for. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is more classic to me, while [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] has a more spunky and playful vibe.

I love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], strongly dislike [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. I find the latter frumpy but the former the complete opposite.

I greatly prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is lovely.

I tend to find [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] a little more dated, while [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], with her X, feels a little spunkier and I feel it works better on a modern child/adult. I also appreciate and enjoy the [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] association.

Go with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] for more elegance; [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] for more spunk.

Nameberry is usually pretty pro [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] but I much prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. I know [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is classic too but the trix ending seems insubstantial to me. It’s not a bad name by any stretch but it’s just not elegant like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. And yes, it’s spunkier. But the nickname [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is spunky, so I don’t think the long version needs spunk. I read a book where a [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] went by Trice and I loved it. Whereas [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] I think is a gaudy nickname.
Ps I’m very very biased as my grandmother, whom I adored, was [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. And I gave my daughter [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] as a middle name in her honor.

I love them both but we went with [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] for our girl! I’ve tried picturing [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] on her but they really do have different vibes. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is definitely spunky and it’s super fun to say. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is sweeter and softer.

I love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] more written down, I like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] more when spoken, and specifically with [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] as a middle name.

I agree with a pp that [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] is a gaudy nickname

Thank you everyone for the replies! I agree they do have different feels to them. I have loved [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] ever since I was a little girl, but I think I like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] more at the moment. It feels more modern, at the same time it ages well. I like the [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] association too.

Thanks again
