Beatrice or Beatrix?

I love both and can’t really decide between them, so I’d like opinions, what do you like about them and why?

I definitely prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. It gives me strong, bad@ss, feminine vibes. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] sounds more quiet and whimsical to me. I do thing [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is more usable, but [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is better.

they both have different ‘vibes’ to me. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] feels more sassy and sparky and kind of cool. Especially with nn [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] :)) [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is much more delicate and refined, has a regal feel. Both are beautiful but i do slightly prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] :heart:

I prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] I just think it’s spunky & upbeat

Love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]! It sounds so much stronger, feistier and more distinctive than [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]! [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] sounds a little harsh to me, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] however is sweet, calm, and classic sounding!

Beatrix is one of my top favorites. I like both but slightly prefer the fun x ending.

I much prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. I just can’t get behind how frumpy and fussy [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] feels. I think [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is classic but spunky and fresh.

I like both, but prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. I think the nn [name_f]Trixie[/name_f] is better than [name_u]Tris[/name_u] (for [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], like in Divergent)

Beatrix! It feels way less frilly and a lot more spunky to me.

I love both but would be more like to use [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. I see from your profile that you live in the UK, and I’m in the US, so maybe there is a difference there. But in the US at least, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] was the 562nd most popular girls’ name in 2019, whereas [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] just made it to the top 1,000, at 986th most popular.

Beatrix definitely feels relatively popular on this site, but I have never actually heard it in the real world yet. And I would worry that anytime little [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] tried to tell someone her name, they would just automatically hear [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], and that could get frustrating. (Having a relatively uncommon name that sounds like some other more common names, I have struggled with this.) But perhaps this situation wouldn’t actually apply where you live.

I prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. It looks timeless and elegant.
But if you’re looking for a modern and adventurous name, [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is perfect!

Beatrix! The x imbues it with so much spunk, which not all vintage/old-fashioned names have (and which [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] lacks in my opinion).

I like the classic feel of [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] so I’m no help in deciding between the two.

I prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], not a fan of [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] but it seems to be very popular on here!!
