I vote [name]Beatrice[/name]! I like that spelling best. I don’t think it’s as common as it seems. I hear it a lot on forums but I’ve only met one [name]Beatrice[/name] and she’s 40. I also love love the nickname [name]Bea[/name].
Good luck!!
I personally am not found of [name]Beatrice[/name], but that aside, I think [name]Zoe[/name] is cute and spunky and fits well with your son’s name. I’m not sure about [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Joy[/name] though. I love [name]Joy[/name], it is my middle name, but combined with [name]Zoe[/name] it kind of comes Zoy [name]Joy[/name] or [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Joey[/name], haha. But that could just be me getting tongue tied! In general though, both are nice names. I would probably consider [name]Zoe[/name] except for we know a [name]Chloe[/name] and I don’t think my husband would like [name]Zoe[/name] at all. Good luck!
I couldn’t decide! I really like both, and they’re very different. [name]Beatrice[/name] offers more nickname possibilities, but I prefer [name]Zoe[/name]'s meaning.
I definitely prefer [name]Beatrice[/name] to [name]Beatrix[/name], though- I like [name]Beatrice[/name] a lot, but I strongly dislike [name]Beatrix[/name]. I think the X is just a little bit much; it seems a lot less in-your-face with the ce.
I like [name]Zoe[/name] much more than [name]Beatrice[/name], probably even more than [name]Beatrix[/name] (although I love [name]Beatrix[/name] so much more!), but I like [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name] as a combo more. I would actually love to see [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Zoe[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Zoe[/name] or [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name], but if [name]Joy[/name] is set, then [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name] gets my vote. What about [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Joy[/name]? I don’t know that [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Joy[/name] flows the best, so [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name] would get my vote, in that case.
Good luck!
I love [name]Beatrice[/name]! [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Joy[/name] is a lovely combo. I really like [name]Zoe[/name] too, but it doesn’t go as well with [name]Joy[/name], I think.
[name]Beatrice[/name], it’s precious with [name]Joy[/name] as a middle!
I love both those names and see the dilemma. With a set mn of [name]Joy[/name] I’d go with [name]Beatrice[/name]. [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Joy[/name] doesn’t flow as well and I feel like the (for the lack of a better word) joy form the name [name]Joy[/name] gets a little lost with a similarly exuberantly joyful name like [name]Zoe[/name]. (Why not hold on to [name]Zoe[/name] for the next little girl?)
I vote for [name]Zoe[/name], because I like that name better, but [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Joy[/name] AXX doesn’t sound very well. It doens’t sound horrible, but maybe a diffrent middle name would be better, or you could add second middle name. For example [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Aston[/name], or [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Aston[/name]…
Thanks so much for all the votes and input!!! I definitely see what you’re saying about the flow of [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. I also don’t love the look of the 2 names with 3 letters. I really like the suggestion of [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name]! My only hesitation is that our son has my maiden name as his middle and [name]Joy[/name] is my middle so I liked the idea of passing on a piece of my name to our daughter as well (we all use DH’s last name). I will have to think about possibly using another family name or not using one at all, and about using 3 names (like [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name]) which isn’t usually my style but with 2 of them bring so short maybe I could get used to it. I still really like [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Joy[/name], too. I was just hoping to find a name we loved, which is how we feel about [name]Quintin[/name], and for some reason this time around nothing gives me that feeling of no question, this is IT. Maybe I am expecting too much from a name, though.
I vote for [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name]… [name]Beatrix[/name] seems just a bit spunkier than [name]Beatrice[/name] and a little fresher than [name]Zoe[/name]. Although, I’ll admit- as popular as they both seem on here, I’ve never met a [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], or a [name]Zoe[/name] in real life. Good luck!
Well, [name]Zoe[/name] is my absolute favorite girls’ name, so that’s what I want to pick, but if you’re set on the middle name being [name]Joy[/name], I agree with the others that [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name] is a better combo. I like [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] best, though.
Actually, were you aware that [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] means “bringer of joy”? If you decided to use [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] instead, I think you would still have that nice connection with your middle name since they have similar meanings. In fact, thinking about it more, [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name] might be a bit of overkill.
So pick [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]! (I personally like the “x” spelling more, although the other spelling is nice as well.)
I like both and I think it would be hard to go wrong.
I know 1 [name]Zoe[/name] and 0 [name]Beatrice[/name]'s (also 0 [name]Beatrix[/name])
I voted [name]Zoe[/name] because I have a small preference for it since it’s easy to spell, but both are gorgeous.
I love [name]Zoe[/name], but [name]Beatrix[/name] (not Beatice) is way cool too
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name]! Stunning! [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is nice, too. [name]Zoe[/name] just doesn’t have that vintage pop that [name]Beatrice[/name] / [name]Beatrix[/name] does.
I voted [name]Beatrice[/name] even though I have to say i much prefer [name]Beatrix[/name]!! Its just got alot more spunk and feels so much more modern than [name]Beatrice[/name] whichI feel is pretty but just lacks the fiestiness that makes [name]Beatrix[/name] special in my eyes!
I love [name]Beatrice[/name]: beautiful name, wonderful meaning, great nicknames, strong yet beautiful, not to common or unheard of, plus it’s my daughter’s name! I think it sounds great with [name]Joy[/name] as a middle name too. We considered it for a middle name but ended up going for something with more family significance. Either way, you have a gorgeous set of names to choose from!
My vote is for [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Joy[/name] too
