This post is not for me, It’s for a friend that is expecting her first child.
She always loved the name [name_u]Beau[/name_u] and is the name that wants to use for her first child.
However her husband’s last name is Beaumont. She still loves the name and is considering using for her son.
The questions that she have are:
1.Can she name him [name_u]Beau[/name_u] Beaumont? Or is to much?
2. The middle name that she intends to use is [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], after her grandfather, should she use [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] as an option?
3. Should she name her child a junior and use [name_u]Beau[/name_u] as a nickname?
4. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any options that could lead to [name_u]Beau[/name_u]?
I think [name_u]Beau[/name_u] Beaumont is a bit too much, sorry. Honestly, in this situation, I’d either go [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] “[name_u]Beau[/name_u]” Beaumont or [different FN] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] Beaumont “[name_u]Beau[/name_u]” (using the last name to get to [name_u]Beau[/name_u]). I did the latter for a main character in a book I’m working on ([name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] nn [name_u]Mars[/name_u]) and I find it really cute.
[name_u]Beau[/name_u] Beaumont is too much for me. I couldn’t do something like that personally. I’d say in this case either use [name_u]Beau[/name_u] as a nickname (not necessarily for a Beaumont [name_m]Jr[/name_m] but any name with the last name could work). Or scrap it altogether.
Thanks for everyone that replied . She chose [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] “[name_u]Bo[/name_u]” Beaumont. So she still can call him [name_u]Bo[/name_u], but not being his first or middle name. [name_m]Robert[/name_m] is her husband father’s name and could lead to the nickname [name_u]Bo[/name_u].
