I don’t think that [name_u]Rocio[/name_u] has been suggested yet? It’s pronounced roh-SHEE-oh / roh-SEE-oh.
I’m also liking [name_u]Theo[/name_u] for a girl a lot recently.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite by far is Mireio, Provencal for “remarkable, admirable, wonderful.” It was used by [name_f]Mistral[/name_f] in a poem and is probably the original source of the Shakespearean coinage [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] (the name, not the poem). Prn meer-AY-oh.
I don’t think [name_u]Valo[/name_u] has been mentioned. It is Finnish for “light” and I love it.
I also love [name_f]Io[/name_f] – two letters, two syllables, all vowels, it’s a big little name (it was on my own long list) – [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Margo[/name_f] (prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f]).
I like [name_u]Rosario[/name_u] nicknamed to [name_u]Rio[/name_u] much better than [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. I’m not a big [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] person.
If [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lulu[/name_f] doesn’t have the same phobic qualities as [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] for you, there’s [name_f]Lucero[/name_f].
Most of the suggestions I thought of have already been made ([name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_u]Hero[/name_u], [name_u]Shilo[/name_u], [name_m]Vero[/name_m]).
Has anyone mentioned Loreto? I know a girl by that name. There’s also [name_f]Dido[/name_f], although there’s some teasing potential there.
Aino and Kielo are both Finnish girls names. Kielo means “lily of the valley”.
If you want, you can run a Super-search on girls names ending in -o and see some other options, though that will also yield you some truly heinous offerings like [name_f]Reignbo[/name_f] and [name_u]Boo[/name_u].
Hmm…
I prefer [name_u]Nico[/name_u] for a boy the name just sounds so masculine in my eyes. I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] it’s a lovely choice and it’s a shame that just one [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] ruined this for you. Have you thought of [name_f]Clio[/name_f]? Slightly different, same sound and ditches the dodgy ‘[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]’ association.
Suggestions:
[name_u]Echo[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Io[/name_f]
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]
Leto
[name_m]Cielo[/name_m] It’s a new entrant in the name ‘verse, the Spanish and Italian word for the sky – and heaven. In Spanish, it takes an s sound; in Italian, it is a ch.
[name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilo[/name_f]
[name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f]
[name_u]Rosario[/name_u]
[name_f]Cameo[/name_f]
[name_u]Calypso[/name_u]
: )
[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorite -o ending name is Harlo ([name_f]Harlow[/name_f] without the w)
[name_f]Keiko[/name_f] nn Keke
Kimbro
Halo (Hay-Low)
Sparro ([name_f]Sparrow[/name_f])
Winslo ([name_u]Winslow[/name_u])
There is a female singer named [name_m]Neko[/name_m] [name_m]Case[/name_m]. I think her name is cool. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Domino[/name_u]? I really like [name_f]Marlo[/name_f], [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Calico[/name_f] and [name_u]Rio[/name_u].
Thanks all. Some very inspiring choices here. Especially Mireilo, beautiful. I may have to work on my other half though.
I love [name_u]Nico[/name_u] as I am a [name_f]Velvet[/name_f] Underground fan, and she has such a beautiful, unusual voice. So it is definitely high on my list.
But also:
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f]
[name_u]Rosario[/name_u]
Mireio. I am part [name_m]French[/name_m] so I think we could get away with it.
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
Gah. They are all beautiful to me!
THANKS ALL
