I wake up this morning feeling awfull . I had never felt more weak . I had terribly nausea & i want to throw up everything . I was thinking that i might be sick until the thought of a pregnancy pass form my mind . I try to call & ask my mom but she didnt anwser her phone .
So how many days you wait until you do a test ? Can i do it right now ? Is it 100 % accurate ?
PS Before you ask , i have thrown away from my mind the possibility to have a baby , but you never know what life has planned for you .
Sorry you’re feeling so lousy. But really, there isn’t anything any of us can say that will be more definitive - or reassuring - than you taking a test. I would wait until first thing tomorrow morning, tests are always most accurate when you take them with your first morning bathroom visit, and then just do it. You can find reasonably priced tests at WalMart or Target or just about anywhere these days. If it comes back negative but you still feel sick in a few days, test again. That’s really the only way to know, other than calling and visiting your doctor for a blood test or just waiting it out to see if your period shows up. Good luck, hope you get the result you want!
ETA: I see after I posted that you aren’t in the U.S. but I’m willing to bet you can find some reasonably priced pregnancy tests wherever you are as well!
Thank you very much !! I will go and buy a test first thing in the morning . I know that you cant possibly know if iam or not pregnant . But you knew about this stuff way more than me so thats why iam asking .
That sounds pretty awful! When was your last period? Is your period due soon (within a week) or late? If you haven’t missed a period yet, a test may not be accurate. Although fatigue and nausea do happen with pregnancy, what you’re describing sounds more like a stomach flu than pregnancy, especially the weakness and starting so quickly. Whatever it is, get lots of rest and drink plenty of fluids. My thoughts are with you.

It’s hard to get accurate results a week before your period is due. Some tests will say they are accurate 4-5 days before your period is due, but not all tests do that. What it means is that if you test tomorrow and your period is not due until next week, a test will likely say you’re not pregnant even if you are. A blood test from a doctor’s office would be more accurate if you can get to a doctor. Otherwise, I would suggest you wait a few days. If the nausea and fatigue clears up within days, it’s probably the flu. If you keep feeling nauseous and fatigued, you could consider testing a couple of days before your period is due.
Sorry that doesn’t help much when you’re worried now! Unfortunately, so far before your period is due, you are not likely to get accurate results.
If you’re a week away from your period, a pregnancy test won’t be accurate. Wait and see if your period is late. In the meantime, you will probably start to feel better, so hopefully it’s only flu. Good luck
P.S. If you don’t mind me asking, what type of birth control are you using? Since you’re only sixteen and you’re having sex, you really need to be on either the pill or another form of long term birth control, plus use condoms to prevent sexually transmitted infections. Otherwise, you’re risking pregnancy every time you have sex.
Well, unless you want to get pregnant, you really need to go on the pill. Make a doctor’s appointment. You should be able to do that without your parents. Seriously. [name_f]Do[/name_f] it.
Most early result tests are accurate up to five days before your expected period. There are various brands and it always tells you on the box how many days before your expected period you can test. The accuracy goes up each day, I think it is something like 60% five days early, 70% four days early, 80% three days early etc. Given that you are feeling ill, if it is the result of a pregnancy, then from my experience you would have enough hcg in your body to get an accurate result five days early. The nice thing is most tests come in a two pack so you can test one early and one a few days later to reassure yourself. I hope you feel better and if it is a pregnancy just try to remain calm, children are wonderful no matter when they come to you in life. I have several cousins who had children in their teens and while it was harder than if you are older they still managed with help from family and friends to get an education and good jobs. I hope you’re not pregnant, that it’s just a stomach bug. From what you say that’s what it sounds like. Good luck! Also, get some sleep. If you want to shake the bug you need to rest.
I want to echo what [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] said about birth control. If you’re going to have sex you need to be smart about it.
No, you can do it on your own. In Europe anyway, I went on the pill when I was 16 and I did it on my own. Continue using condoms though, you don’t want to end up with a STD.
Well, I couldn’t wait & I did a test. It turn positive. I will take the other test in a few hours to be sure. I dont really know what to think or do right now. My mom tell me that it might be a false test so I will see what the next one turn.

Thanks!! I couldn’t have the test myself ( I was scared) so I told to my mom. I told her to close a appointment for tomorrow with a doctor to see what is going on. Oh dear god i’am sooo nervous!! I was the one who one week ago wanted a baby soo badly but right now it might happening and i’am scared to death.
Congrats on your pregnancy! [name_m]Just[/name_m] because you are young doesn’t make it any less miraculous. False positives are extremely rare because the test measures hcg which is a hormone that your body only produces when you are pregnant. I’m glad to see that you are comfortable to discuss this with your mom and from your previous posts you seem to have a supportive bf as well so you will be ok. I think every woman feels terrified when they first learn they are pregnant. I know I did and I was 27 so it happens to all of us regardless of age. Good luck at the doctor, let us know how it goes!
