Beck and Brees? (Too Twin-y)?

Twins coming next month and looking for names that aren’t too twin-y.

We don’t know the sexes but like

  • “[name_u]Beck[/name_u] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]” for boys
  • “Brees” for a girl

Problem is… neither of the boys names go with the girl name. [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] nearly rhymes With Brees and [name_u]Beck[/name_u] is debatable… the double Bs aren’t terrible but I’m not sure about the alliteration - especially because we have a 20 month old daughter and her name begins with an “M” (don’t want her to be left out).

What do you think?? Am I over thinking it or do I need a new boys name if boy girl?

Also searching for another girls name to
pair with Brees…

Thanks!

[name_u]Beck[/name_u] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] are so great together! I agree with you that [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] and Brees is a no-go, and I can see what you mean about [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and Brees maybe being a little match-y. I think the fact that they’re both one syllable in addition to sharing an initial is part of what gets me–would you consider [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] or [name_f]Bria[/name_f]? [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and [name_f]Bria[/name_f] or [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] and Brees both work a little better in my head than [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and Brees. It does seem like you favor snappy, one-syllable names though, so maybe it makes more sense to look at other options in that category that would pair a little better with Brees. Maybe something like…

[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Rhett[/name_m]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Cove[/name_u]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_u]Dash[/name_u]
[name_u]Wade[/name_u]
[name_u]Tate[/name_u]
[name_u]Rune[/name_u]
[name_m]Clark[/name_m]
[name_m]Wells[/name_m]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]

All that said, I don’t think [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and Brees are close enough to be a deal-breaker if you don’t find another boys’ name you love equally. As far as a sister for Brees, I actually like several of the names I just listed as possible boys’ options here too ([name_u]Cove[/name_u], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_u]Tate[/name_u], [name_u]Rune[/name_u]). Or maybe Brees and:

[name_u]Lark[/name_u]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_u]Lux[/name_u]
[name_u]Wynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Laine[/name_u]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Greer[/name_f]
[name_u]Scout[/name_u]
[name_f]Jade[/name_f]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Faye[/name_f]

Or, if you’re open to more syllables, Brees and:

[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_u]Larkin[/name_u]
[name_u]Marlow[/name_u]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_u]Ember[/name_u]
[name_u]Adair[/name_u]
[name_f]Neva[/name_f]
[name_f]Una[/name_f]
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]
[name_u]Winslow[/name_u]
[name_f]Aster[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabli[/name_f]
[name_f]Ione[/name_f]

Good luck!

I love the suggestion of [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] & Brees.

Loving [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] as well

I do think [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and Brees are too similar. What about one of these names…

[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u]
[name_f]Thais[/name_f]

LMK what you think!!

I don’t see much of an issue with [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and Brees. [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] and Brees are definitely too close in my opinion. Would you consider [name_f]Bree[/name_f] or [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] for a girl or [name_u]Rafe[/name_u], [name_u]Ray[/name_u], or [name_u]Reid[/name_u] for a boy?

first congratulations on twins!!!
I think your boys names to very well together!
I wouldn’t change anything there…
But I go agree that neither goes well with your girls name
Either beginning of ending the same way and being the same length…
Honestly I would choose a girls name that goes well with the one you chose already, that you love just as much and use that with one of your boys names if you have boy/ girl twins, just be sure it goes well with them. Then all your bases will be covered and you keep all the names you love… So really you just need a 4th name that has similar but not matching qualities, that doesn’t start with b or m! You can do this, I’m sure we can be of some help also with pointing you in the right direction.
