…we called him Pubert:) After the baby in the second Addams Family movie. Thought it would be fun to ask what you guys what you called your little beans before you’d chosen their names!
[name]Luke[/name] was Bubble, because when my pregnancy was just starting to show my nephew said that it looked like I had a bubble in my belly. Two years later, the natural succession to Bubble was Squeak, so that’s what we called [name]Elliot[/name]. This one hasn’t actually got a proper pregnancy name at the minute, the boys think a heavily pregnant woman looks like she has a football stuffed up her t-shirt so I’ve had several football-related names from them. [name]Libby[/name]'s calling it [name]Baby[/name] [name]Fairy[/name], as she’s obsessed with fairies at the minute, and my partner thinks the actual name is more important than what it’s called in the womb.
DS1 was Nugget
DS2 was Peanut
DD was Niblet
this baby is Pudding
I love all of these
My first was Shnicklefritz. This one is Mergatroid
She was Lentil because that’s what she resembled at our first ultrasound
Ours were [name]Bubba[/name], Tweety, & [name]Lovey[/name]…lol…I haven’t told them that though!
We call ours our little cabbage! And now hubby has started calling me his Cabbage Patch! LOL.
overwhelmed by cuteness
[name]Antoine[/name] started out as Nubbins, but quickly became the underwhelming [name]Baby[/name].
This one is Barnacle, and that’s stuck (hardy har har).
[name]Blade[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name] Barnacle. Hahahaha.
[name]Hal[/name] was our little blueberry.
We always knew our boys name, but I still called him “porker” because he was such a big baby! Before we named our daughter [name]Emilia[/name] we called her Bambina which, in Spanish, means “baby girl” and I love it! Of course, I didn’t want it to be her formal name, but it’s stuck as a nickname- so far!
I actually called my little bean [name]Baby[/name] [name]Bean[/name]! 1) I had a pregnancy ticker that told me how big the baby was each week by comparing it to a fruit or veggie. When I first signed up, she was the size of a lentil. 2) I had a baby doll when I was little called [name]Baby[/name] Beans because she had a bean bag body.
I’m calling mine [name]Tiny[/name] Toon (our last name is Toon).
For the 2 we didn’t find out the gender, we called them “[name]Mini[/name] Me” and “Quatro” (which was Vio since she was our 4th).
He had a few names, among them: Bearcat, Moonrocket, Pumpkin, Roly-poly, [name]Wild[/name] [name]Man[/name], [name]Baby[/name]
Our first pregnancy was jellybean, this one is peanut. But when people ask about the names we’re going to use, we say whatever awful name comes to our mind first (usually Shatzy - his mom’s name combined with my mom’s name in a very displeasing way :)).
Hehe, what a cute thread! My first was Fowzi, a name my husbands niece who was 4 at the time got from a Turkish soap opera. Second was named before he was conceived. Third was O’Snarkey. My 3 year old made that one up. I have no idea where she got it!
My daughter was [name]Hedwig[/name]. My mother suggested the name not just once, but twice in the same email and so my sister and I took it and ran.
This one is Günther, mostly because I wanted a “fun” name that went with [name]Hedwig[/name].
I always thought I’d end up calling my kid something before they were born, but she never had a nickname…I just called her “the baby” the entire time.
My friends took to referring to her as random first names all the time. We didn’t know if it was a boy or girl, so they were always calling and saying things like “[name]How[/name]'s [name]Edwina[/name] doing?” or “I bought the cutest hat for [name]Ernesto[/name]”. We also got [name]Marla[/name], [name]Hector[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Jemima[/name]…I don’t remember the rest!
