Looking for some reassurance, we named our baby girl (7 months) [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], which we love. We started to call her [name_f]Belle[/name_f] for short which has evolved into [name_f]Bella[/name_f], which seems to suit her and roll off the tongue easier! I’m happy with both nicknames but recently someone asked why we call her [name_f]Bella[/name_f] when it’s not even her name…
Is [name_f]Bella[/name_f] too far removed from [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] to be a nickname?
In hindsight we could have just called her [name_f]Bella[/name_f] as her actual name but it’s too late now.
I think [name_f]Bella[/name_f] would work perfectly fine on [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]! It doesn’t matter what people think as long as the name and nickname you choose makes you happy then that’s good!
Definitely makes sense to me. If our baby ends up being a girl, we will probably call her [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and I plan to nickname her [name_f]Bella[/name_f] or [name_f]Annie[/name_f].
Bella is a gorgeous nickname for [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]! What a beautiful name you chose for your baby . It definitely works!!
And it’s a nickname! You can call her whatever you want!
