Belladonna?

I really like the name Belladonna - new route to the nn [name]Bella[/name], as opposed to the uber popular [name]Isabella[/name]. It’s Italian for “beautiful lady”, and I think it would be more widely used if not for the plant. What do you think?

It has a pretty sound but it seems too much for a real person in everyday life, if you know what I mean.

I just think of the plant. And the [name]Stevie[/name] Nicks album.

I looked it up online and see already two porn (sorry, “exotic model”)-related sites. NOPE.

I just think of poison when I hear Belladonna. And [name]Bella[/name] is going to be super popular no matter what the full name is.

I also think of the poison. However, in a magazine’s letters page a while back, one was signed Belladonna. Normally people use their real names, so perhaps it is in use.

[name]Mirabelle[/name]/a and [name]Arabella[/name] are both less used routes to [name]Bella[/name], as is [name]Rosabelle[/name].

[name]Auburn[/name]

[name]Amabel[/name] and Amabella are also other [name]Bella[/name] names…

I have to admit, Belladonna seems a little over the top. Think of how it will age and when she’s older.

Good [name]Luck[/name]!

If you like the Italian meaning of “beautiful lady,” but wish to avoid the poisonous plant association, then perhaps you might consider transposing the name elements to: Donnabella.

I knew a girl named [name]Ladonna[/name] once, her mother was Italian.

Ooh, good idea! Or Donnatella, though you’d forfeit the [name]Bella[/name] nickname. – [name]Christy[/name] ([name]Margaret[/name])

[name]Hi[/name]! I really like Belladonna; I was searching the name on [name]Bing[/name], and one thing that threw me off was the link to Belladonna the porn star’s official site. I think that is a rather negative connection, clearly; but I still find the name so lovely.
I’m a little strange, haha, but I actually like the Deadly Nightshade connection. xD A beautiful name.

maybe youd like [name]Bellamy[/name]. its on my list.

Listen to [name]Nephele[/name], she is a genius! I Wiki-ed it- Belladonna - Wikipedia

If you feel certain, go for it, but as a [name]Bella[/name] myself, (it’s my nn) I wouldn’t suggest it.
