Keep [name]Bellamy[/name], and use Bellam as a nickname… best of both worlds!
[name]Bellamy[/name] is all girl to me. I cannot picture it on a boy at all! I would consider [name]Bellamy[/name] for a daughter! I have met a couple other girls named [name]Bellamy[/name] but never a boy. So I would definitely not name a boy [name]Bellamy[/name].
I think [name]Bellamy[/name] sounds girly so I would go with Bellam
[name]Bellamy[/name] doesn’t sound at all girly, it sounds like a last name which are almost always masculine
Bellam seems incomplete, like naming a child Alexand. Bellam makes me think of bedlam, which mean chaos, confusion, a madhouse
And Bellam [name]Keenan[/name] just sounds odd. Bellam [name]Eros[/name] sounds better but I still prefer [name]Bellamy[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name] is all girl to me! Bellam sounds cool though - would you consider spelling it Belem? Too me, that seems much more masculine, plus Belem [name]Keenan[/name] [name]Eros[/name] is such a handsome name!
(ps: reasoning for [name]Bellamy[/name] being all girl has its roots in the french language. The name means “good friend” [name]Belle[/name] means “good” and ami(e) is “friend”. [name]Belle[/name] is the feminine form, where as [name]Beau[/name] is the masculine form. So really, to make this name fully masculine you could create a name like Boamy/Boami - but that kinda sounds/looks weird (like foamy or something) now that i think about it ha!)
xo [name]Viv[/name]
Bon is “good” and bon ami is “good friend” (I should know, Bonimy is a family name)
[name]Belle[/name] amie is a female lover, a mistress while bel ami is a male lover (a mister? )
[name]Bellamy[/name] is a surname, which are masculine yet unisex. [name]Bellamy[/name] is no more “girly” than any other surname
I think [name]Bellamy[/name] is great on a boy, and people only assume a girl’s name because of ‘[name]Belle[/name]’. I agree with the previous post that [name]Bellamy[/name] is a last name, which should generally be used on boy’s.
[name]Bellamy[/name] is a girls name! Bellam is not much better but works better for a boy.
Bellum is the Latin word for war. I would go for [name]Bellamy[/name].
My vote went to [name]Bellamy[/name]. While I did originally think of it as very feminine, I am beginning to be able to picture it on a boy. In my opinion, it would feel a little less feminine if it were spelled with a single L - [name]Belamy[/name].
