I’m looking for as many long names that can be shortened to [name_m]Ben[/name_m] as possible. I’ve considered the most obvious names that start with BEN: [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_u]Bennett[/name_u], [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] etc but I’m hoping you can help me come up with some more outside the box alternatives.
This is to help solve a mystery and not for a child being born anytime soon so weirdness is not a problem.I’ll tackle my personal baby name conundrum in another post.
I second [name_m]Benoit[/name_m]. I also like [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] and [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] from your list. A name that could be more outside of the box is [name_m]Reuben[/name_m], which I adore (although I personally love Roo as a [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] nickname).
I love the look of [name_m]Benedikt[/name_m] as a way to get to [name_m]Ben[/name_m]. It gives [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] a bit of flare and is a bit more unexpected for such a classic nickname.
I was about to say the same as @rosajune! I think [name_m]Ben[/name_m] would work as a nickname for [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] if you don’t mind it being somewhat unexpected
Some I haven’t seen mentioned are…
Zeben
Benford
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] (maybe too much of a streth)
[name_u]Robin[/name_u]
Abenthy
Thorben
[name_m]Brent[/name_m]
I don’t know how uncommon you’d want to go but I’m using [name_m]Ben[/name_m]-[name_u]Ami[/name_u] nn [name_m]Ben[/name_m] for my son. It’s pronounced like BEN-ah-MEE.
