Bennett Graham or Graham Bennett?

Help us pick a name for our baby boy! Big brother’s name is [name_m]Colin[/name_m].

I absolutely love [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] but am afraid it’s getting trendy. I also don’t want to “timestamp” him - I have a name that peaked in the 80’s and then never again, if that makes sense.

I really like [name_m]Graham[/name_m], too. I think it’s handsome and classic. I haven’t gotten as many positive responses in real life to [name_m]Graham[/name_m], though, and some people have mentioned the “cracker” reference. It doesn’t bother me too much, though.

Thoughts?

I think [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] are both nice choices! Together, I like the flow of [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] better than [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m].

Oh, I have a little [name_m]Colin[/name_m]! I prefer the sound of [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]. Plus, [name_m]Colin[/name_m] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] are perfect for siblings.

I prefer [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. Tough choice. I think either would work out well.

I think both may run the timestamp risk, with [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] maybe a little riskier ([name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Beckham[/name_m], and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] spring to mind). Surnames for boys are really trendy, and both fit the bill. However, [name_m]Graham[/name_m] is a little more classic than [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] imo.

It’s got to be said though, you could do far worse for a namesake than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_m]Bennet[/name_m] ([name_u]Darcy[/name_u]).

I like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] graham

They are both nice, but I prefer [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m].

[name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]! I have met two guys named [name_m]Graham[/name_m] in real life, both close to my age, and they wore it well.

I think they are both great choices and you couldn’t go wrong either way. I can see why it’s a tricky choice. Also, Colin is one of my absolute favourites.

Bennett may seem trendy now but I actually think it is more timeless than some others going around. So I don’t feel like it would date and would wear well in future years. The flow of Graham Bennett is lovely, and I have a friend Graham who is a wonderful guy. I think Bennett is my preference, just. Bennett and Colin sound wonderful together and could lead to the duo of Ben and Col.

[name_m]Colin[/name_m] and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] is my favorite:)

I like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] the best!

I prefer [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]: great flow, and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] is so classy and handsome. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] is definitely more of a middle in my eyes. Also, I feel like [name_m]Graham[/name_m] matches the style of [name_m]Colin[/name_m] better, making for a good sibset.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Colin[/name_m]!!

I really feel [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] flows better.

I agree that both are quite nice. My vote would be for [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] though - it’s more distinctive and doesn’t share sounds with other popular names right now.

[name_m]Colin[/name_m] and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] sound much better together.

I prefer [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. It’s handsome, mature, and underused. Never cared for the surname name trend so I’m not a fan of [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] as a fn.

As the mother of a [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], I vote [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. We have only ever met 2 other [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]'s in 8 yrs.

I love [name_m]Graham[/name_m]! However, if you want your little guy to have a first name that has a ready nn, then [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] might be better as a first name since people could call him [name_m]Ben[/name_m]. I don’t know if there is a good nn for [name_m]Graham[/name_m].

My vote goes to [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]!
