[name]Bennett[/name] or [name]Nolan[/name]? My husband is not a fan of surnames, but I think [name]Bennett[/name] is a strong name and am ok with [name]Ben[/name] for a NN. Which do you like better? [name]Do[/name] you dislike any of them and why?
[name]Bennett[/name]! I just always think of granola when I hear [name]Nolan[/name]. Not sure why. You’ve probably never gotten that before and probably never will again, so don’t worry about it if you love it. But I like [name]Bennett[/name] better.
[name]Bennett[/name] sounds better with this generation. [name]Nolan[/name], to me, is my middle-aged distant cousin, and I can’t picture a little boy wearing it.
[name]Bennett[/name] is the Medieval form of [name]Benedict[/name] so it has a lot of history to back it up than most people may assume. I like [name]Nolan[/name] too but it seems more trendy to me than [name]Bennett[/name] due to the baseball [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] connection and the popular Irish surname ending in “n” trend that is so prevalent.
I have a [name]Bennett[/name] and think it is absolute perfection!! It is not permitted to call him [name]Ben[/name]. My husband and I are anti-nicknames. [name]Nolan[/name] is nice, but [name]Bennett[/name] is more special.
I prefer [name]Nolan[/name] because it is a Sackett name ([name]Louis[/name] L’Amour) so it sounds very, very tough. You know, tough like get shot three times, roll down a hill, and STILL take out the bad guys and protect the old lady. The bad guys were trying to take her ranch because they thought it would be easy. Ha. Didn’t factor in that she was related to the Sacketts. Unwise.
So yeah, awesome book, awesome character, awesome name.
I’ve always really liked the name [name]Nolan[/name], but partially because I’ve never met anyone with that name. It’s one of those names that shooting so fast up the popularity list that I’d be a bit worried about using it myself. But, I just straight up don’t like the name [name]Bennett[/name] (or any of the other longer names for [name]Ben[/name]), they’re very boring to me (plus is Chinese [name]Ben[/name] means ‘stupid’).
