A friend of mine is pregnant and having a boy. She and her boyfriend are naming him [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] nn [name_m]Benny[/name_m]. His full name will be [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] Reaf (That’s not the real spelling it just is pronounced like that). Thoughts? I kinda like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]. Not really sure I like the mn and surname combo though…
I love the name [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]. Super handsome, classic with a twist. I like the whole combo less, with the two N syllables in a row, and two 1-syllable names in a row, but there’s nothing terrible about it.
I like it! I am not a fan of [name_m]Benny[/name_m] though which is why I wouldn’t use this name.
I like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], although I slightly prefer [name_m]Bennet[/name_m], because that’s how it’s spelt in Pride and Prejudice, but that’s just me being weird.
Anyway, it’s a great name, but I don’t really like [name_m]Benny[/name_m]/[name_m]Ben[/name_m].
I have my own [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], so I think it is superb! [name_m]Benny[/name_m] is just not cute.
I love [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and wanted to use it to honor [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]'s in our family but with a last name starting with J hubby said no b names because of the nn BJ ;( but so glad to see others using it it’s such a classic name and I adore nn [name_m]Benny[/name_m]!
I love [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and I think [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] is a wonderful combo. I am not fond of [name_m]Benny[/name_m]. I have [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] on my short list.
I love [name_m]Bennett[/name_m].
Have to admit I’ve become more partial to [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] because of the meaning and the ([name_f]IMO[/name_f]) easier spelling, but [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] is very charming.
And I love [name_m]Ben[/name_m].
But I agree that [name_m]Benny[/name_m] is not cute…I’ve never been a fan.
As a [name_u]Kim[/name_u] who’s always spurned [name_f]Kimmy[/name_f], I can say that it is avoidable.
I adore [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and am a bit jealous, because I can’t use it due to our surname. [name_m]Benny[/name_m] isn’t my favourite, but if it’s a child’s nickname that’s okay, and [name_m]Ben[/name_m] is a nice, strong choice. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Knox[/name_m] “Reaf” doesn’t have an amazing flow, but it is a fine name and could be way, way worse.
I see many “[name_m]Benny[/name_m] and the Jets” jokes in his future. Not really a bad thing if he ends up liking [name_m]Elton[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m], though.
Like most others, I love [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Ben[/name_m] is a better nickname. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] “Reaf” sounds fine, but I’ve never liked [name_m]Knox[/name_m], and I don’t think it does the rest of the name justice.
@maggiefromcanada I’m totally jealous too! The more she talks about it I love it, but now because she’s someone I know pretty well I could never use it. Plus my SO insists that whatever name we use for our future babies has to be Spanish friendly too. Womp womp.
I’m not really a fan of the mn though. But the way I see it, it could be worse! I have friends who named their kids much worse things!
@megan_ashley I love that song!! I also don’t think this generation will know much of [name_m]Elton[/name_m]. Which is sad because I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] him. But it definitely could be a worse association!
