”berclassic namer needs help with little girl

I’m stuck in the past when it comes to names. Probably because I like naming children after family members and friends. Our little girl needs a name for the day when her adoption is final (hooray!) and we’re not too sure of how to mix around the names of the women we hope to honor. Please help.

[name]Mary[/name] (my mother in law,we could use [name]Marie[/name] instead)
[name]Alice[/name](my grandmother)
[name]Sarah[/name] (my late stepmother)
[name]Bridget[/name] (a close family friend)
[name]Eve[/name] (the social worker who has been helping us with the adoption)
[name]Dinah[/name] (another dear friend)

I’ve been thinking: [name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name], [name]Mary[/name] [name]Eve[/name], [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Marie[/name] or [name]Bridget[/name] [name]Eve[/name].

Big brothers are [name]Alfred[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]John[/name] [name]Bennett[/name].

I think you have a great pallet to choose from!

What about [name]Eva[/name] [name]Marie[/name]? [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Mary[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Bridget[/name] [name]Eve[/name], [name]Dinah[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Eva[/name] [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Alice[/name] [name]Maria[/name], [name]Alice[/name] [name]Marie[/name]?

[name]Alfred[/name] [name]James[/name], [name]John[/name] [name]Bennett[/name] and…

[name]Eva[/name] [name]Maria[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
or [name]Alice[/name] [name]Marie[/name]

I like [name]Bridget[/name] [name]Alice[/name] or [name]Alice[/name] [name]Bridget[/name] lovely

[name]How[/name] wonderful that you’re adopting a baby girl! I’m not sure if you’re interested in variations of the names you’ve listed, but I’ll include some just in case it’s an option.

[name]Mary[/name] (my mother in law,we could use [name]Marie[/name] instead)

[name]Marielle[/name]
[name]May[/name]
[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name]
[name]Miriam[/name] (although it’s a form of [name]Mary[/name], it also means “Wished for child”)

[name]Alice[/name](my grandmother)

[name]Sarah[/name] (my late stepmother)

[name]Sally[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name]

[name]Bridget[/name] (a close family friend):

[name]Brigid[/name]
[name]Brigitte[/name] (French version)

[name]Eve[/name] (the social worker who has been helping us with the adoption):

[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name] (nn [name]Evie[/name])

[name]Dinah[/name] (another dear friend)

From your list, I really love the flow of [name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name], with [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Marie[/name] in second place.

[name]Mary[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Eva[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Marielle[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Miriam[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Miriam[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] (although with an [name]Alfred[/name], [name]Alice[/name] feels pretty similar)
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Dinah[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name]

I don’t know how you feel about two middles, but it would enable you to honor more of your loved ones:

[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Alice[/name] (although the V sound from [name]Genevieve[/name] kind of attaches to [name]Alice[/name])
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Dinah[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Sarah[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Bridget[/name] [name]May[/name]

I [name]LOVE[/name] your sons’ names!

Good luck!

[name]Alice[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Marie[/name]

Oh, gosh, what a beautiful selection of names! I must say, [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Bridget[/name] came to mind at once! However, both of her big brothers have a name with a J in it, so do you have any women with J names you might want to honor with a middle name - [name]Jane[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Joy[/name]? Personally, [name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name] seems a bit boring - well, not boring, but it seems like a double name which doesn’t seem to be what you want.

Best of luck, macaroni!
