Berries what are you thoughts on the spelling for Cailin?

[name]Just[/name] looking for more ideas to add in to the list of girls name we have. What are you ladies thinking? too popular, like the spelling? Any kind of feedback would be nice. Thank you.

I know a [name]Calen[/name], which always seemed to me like a classy, pretty name.

I like [name]Kaylin[/name] because of the prominence of [name]Kay[/name]. [name]Cailin[/name] looks very choppy to me.

I know a few [name]Kaylin[/name]'s. I actually MUCH prefer your spelling of [name]Cailin[/name]…looks almost Irish or something. Reminds me of [name]Caitlin[/name]…I like it.

That’s the reason I don’t like it, because it’s as though it’s pretending to be Irish when it’s not.

I know several girls in my age group (13-20) named [name]Kaitlyn[/name], [name]Cailyn[/name], [name]Caitlyn[/name], [name]Caitlin[/name], ect… I see it as very popular, and I don’t care for any of the spelling variations. Yours isn’t that bad, but it’s not my style.

I think this would frequently get mistaken for [name]Caitlin[/name]. When I looked at it quickly, that’s what I thought.

I thought [name]Cailin[/name] was [name]Caitlin[/name] at first too. There’s also [name]Kaelyn[/name], [name]Kailyn[/name], [name]Cailyn[/name]… the spelling possibilities are endless really. I think it’s a fine name, kind of trendy though.

My immediate thought was that it was [name]Caitlin[/name] but you’d missed out the ‘t’ and I don’t think I’d be the only one.

I find it trendy and a name that will blend into the background of children with similar names; [name]Caylee[/name], [name]Caelan[/name], [name]Cayla[/name], [name]Kylie[/name] etc. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I wouldn’t want that in a name.

Yeah, I thought you’d missed the t out of [name]Caitlin[/name] too, which is a shame as I was going to say I really like [name]Caitlin[/name], especially in this spelling. Knowing it’s not, [name]Cailin[/name] just doesn’t do it for me, it’s like [name]Kay[/name] and [name]Lyn[/name] are both uber popular sounds in names and you’ve smooshed them into one.

I prefer [name]Kaylen[/name] or [name]Kaylin[/name].

I love the spelling [name]Cailin[/name]. I don’t think it’s very popular. I’ve never met or heard of a [name]Cailin[/name] (any spelling), so I don’t think its super popular.

I would pronounce [name]Calen[/name] ‘cal-en’ and [name]Cailin[/name] ‘kay-lynn’.

I very rarely like names with a ‘k’ over a ‘c’, but this is an exception for me. I like [name]Kaylin[/name] (possibly ‘e’ instead of ‘i’) spelling.

As to the popularity, I think it is popular, but I do like the name. So I wouldn’t let that stop you!

Agree, too close to [name]Caitlin[/name]. I like [name]Caelan[/name] but only on a boy.
