BERRIES, What do you think of Ariana

My SO are still trying to put together a list of names that we really like and atleast have a list so we aren’t going back to the drawling board when it comes down to choosing a name? I really like [name]Ariana[/name], I really like the meaning; "most holy"

[name]How[/name] would you all pronounce the name?
Are-ee-anna?
[name]Air[/name]-ee-on-a?
Are-ee-on-a?
[name]Air[/name]-ee-on-a?

The combo’s I’m adoring right now.

[name]Ariana[/name] [name]Brooklyn[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lauren[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lydia[/name]

I say ‘arry-ah-na’. I’d pronounce [name]Arianna[/name] ‘arry-anna’. I like both

Agree with renrose! ditto!

I would say ah-ree-ah-nah. It’s a new favorite of mine

I would pronounce it ah-ree-ah-nah as well.

I say it like [name]Ah[/name]-ree-ah-na as well. It’s a pretty enough name to me, and the meaning is cute. I think I probably like it mostly because [name]Ariana[/name] was the name of Dumbledore’s younger sister in HP. =]

I say a-ree-[name]AH[/name]-nah. I think of Dumbledore’s little sister as well…

I love it! I say air-ee-ah-nah. If [name]Arianne[/name] wasn’t on my list, I would probably swap it for [name]Ariana[/name]. I love it a lot, but my heart just belongs with [name]Arianne[/name]. I think [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lydia[/name] is very sweet, although it feels like it needs something to complete it–[name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], maybe? Or [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]?

Good luck!

I know a baby [name]Ariana[/name], and its pronounced Arry-ah-na. She’s [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Isabel[/name], but i like ariana brooklyn

I’d pronounce it air-ee-on-uh.

I prefer [name]Ariadne[/name], the original version, and the similar sounding [name]Oriana[/name], but [name]Ariana[/name] is still a gorgeous name. [name]Love[/name] the nicknames [name]Ari[/name], [name]Ria[/name] and [name]Aria[/name]. Out of your list, I like [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lauren[/name] the best.

[name]Ariana[/name], I say it [name]Air[/name]-ee-on-a.

I find the name boring and tired at this point, I’ve heard it so many times, that it’s lost the spark it once had for me. :frowning: But it is a beautiful name in general, I don’t think it’s a poor choice. [name]Just[/name] that my reaction to it would be “Oh.”

[name]Ariana[/name] should have a less trendy middle than [name]Brooklyn[/name] imo, but [name]Lauren[/name] has too many repeating sounds found in [name]Ariana[/name], and [name]Lydia[/name] doesn’t flow as nicely. If I had to choose one, then I’d go with [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lauren[/name].
Suggestion: [name]Laurel[/name], it’s close to [name]Lauren[/name], but is slightly different from the sounds in [name]Ariana[/name].

I love the name [name]Ariana[/name]! It is such a pretty name that sounds so artistic to me. I would pronounce it Are-ee-on-a .

I pronounce it Are-ee-on-a but names like this I don’t like because there are so many ways to pronounce the name.

Out of your options my favorite is [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Lauren[/name]
Good luck!!

I pronounce it ah-ree-[name]AH[/name]-nuh (which is the same as are-ee-on-a basically), but I know an [name]Ariana[/name] and some people chronically mispronounce it as air-ee-[name]AH[/name]-nuh when that isn’t how she says it. If you want the -anna ending, I would spell it [name]Arianna[/name]. I don’t particualrly like the [name]Ariana[/name] I know, but the name is pretty!

I think it’s really pretty, but there’s something I don’t like about it. I think it might be trying too hard. too many vowel sounds or something, I dunno.

I prefer [name]Arielle[/name] and [name]Aurie[/name].

I orginally going with [name]Arielle[/name] or even just [name] Ari[/name] But, I just found out my friend has named his baby girl [name]Ari[/name]. I’m so bummed! I really wanted to use that name. I could still use it I suppose?

I pronounce it are-ee-on-a and that’s definitely my preferred pronounciation. It’s not my stytle, but it’s not a bad name.

[name]Ah[/name]-ree-ah-nah is how I say [name]Ariana[/name]. It’s not my style.

[name]Just[/name] out of interest, where does the ‘on’ sound come from?
