'Best' Spelling of Kaylee?

What is the best spelling of [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], without it looking overly trendy. (I know it is a pretty trendy name already)

[name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]
[name_f]Kailey[/name_f]
[name_f]Cayley[/name_f]
[name_f]Kailee[/name_f]
[name_f]Kayley[/name_f]
[name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]
[name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f] ??

To me, [name_f]Kailey[/name_f] looks least trendy. I also knew a [name_f]Kaley[/name_f] growing up, and I have heard of [name_f]Caeli[/name_f].

[name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f] is the accepted spelling in the UK. Anything else would be trendy or made up here.

I love [name_f]Cailey[/name_f]…

[name_f]Kailey[/name_f]. Like [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] and [name_f]Hailey[/name_f].

Spelling doesn’t really help the name become “less trendy”. The name IS trendy and it’s dated as well. If you must choose it, keep the spelling simple and that would be [name_f]Kailey[/name_f].

[name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f] is the spelling that I’ve seen most frequently. I had a friend in school named this, but haven’t seen it recently. Like [name_f]Kayla[/name_f], it was trending a few decades back.

I’d go with [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f]. That’s the spelling that’s seen as the ‘correct’ one in the UK.

Another vote for Kailey. I’ve seen this the most in the USA. Interesting that Kayleigh seems to be the prominent and “correct” spelling in UK. I guess it depends where you are!

There is no ‘great’ spelling of it, but I would say [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f]. [name_f]Cayleigh[/name_f] MIGHT be ok, but anything else, is just no.

[name_f]Kailey[/name_f] is the best choice.

I like kaley…

But also vote [name_f]Kailey[/name_f] i actually tried to think of names to got with bailey and i came up with hailey and zailey lol but yeah defo i prefer this to the kayleigh version

[name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f] is the ‘most legitimate’ I guess.

I’m sort of a sucker for Ceilidh though - the original spelling of the word, but too much of a word in the UK. I’m not sure, do you guys have ceilidhs in the US? Never heard the word uttered in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]… I guess it would be okay, but the spelling is still an issue.

I’m biased, but my name is spelled “[name_f]Kaleigh[/name_f]” and I’ve always liked it. By dropping the Y, my mom wanted to prevent it being pronounced as two-names, “[name_u]Kay[/name_u] [pause] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u].” I also like that it’s unique but recognizable. I would definitely go for the English spelling of [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], though. I think it’s prettiest.

I’d forgot about Ceilidh. But you’re right, it’s too much of a ‘thing’ word.

I had to google what a ceilidh was actually - I can safely assure you, we don’t call them that here :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha I just asked my Canadian-raised cousin what she would call a gathering of people who do traditional dances to folk music and she looked at me like I was from some sort of magical-elf-world. They’re a regular occurrence in Northern [name_f]England[/name_f] but I promise it’s not that weird!

(She also replied ‘’…barn dance?‘’ which I found hilarious.)

Yeah I think a barn dance is the closest thing here. Still, definitely not a term we’re familiar with in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]!

I think

Kayleigh
is the one that has the original and correct spelling so that would show that you’re not trying to be fancy

sorry I posted this in the wrong place
