[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Beth[/name_f] is perfect. I love the name [name_f]Beth[/name_f] it’s so simple, sweet, soft and feminine. I also love the sound of [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] and its biblical roots. [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] nn [name_f]Beth[/name_f] gives you best of both.
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] is sweet and pretty but my favourite is [name_f]Bethan[/name_f]. Its sweet but not as soft or common as [name_f]Bethany[/name_f]. I’m from the UK though so I’m not sure about problems you’d encounter elsewhere. I’d definitely pick either of those over [name_f]Beth[/name_f], which is nice but I prefer it as a nn.
With [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] you get the best of all three names
I’ve always thought [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] was a sweet name. I knew a [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] in high school, but sometimes she went by [name_f]Betty[/name_f], which I thought was cute.
I love [name_f]Bethany[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
I have always loved [name_f]Beth[/name_f]. It’s sweet and simple.
My favorite out of the three is [name_f]Bethany[/name_f].
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] gets my vote, too. [name_f]Bethan[/name_f] is my second favorite for its originality, but I do think she’d get called [name_f]Beth[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f] quite a bit. [name_f]Beth[/name_f] is a little too plain for me as a full name, but the bonus of [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] is that you can nn her [name_f]Beth[/name_f] without a problem.
I voted [name_f]Bethan[/name_f] because I’ve only ever known one, and it’s got the most personality of them all. [name_m]Just[/name_m] sweet and quiet and playful. It’s unexpected yet not unusual, it’s not really my thing but of the three I think it’s the best choice. I’ll admit I prefer [name_f]Betsan[/name_f].
[name_f]Beth[/name_f] is also lovely but I’ve known many - all the Elizabeths’ my age I know are [name_f]Beth[/name_f] for short. I think it’s lovely but not very special. (Oh and i should add I know one who is exclusively Bethy which I think is really fun!)
I know you love [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] but I find it a bit dated and unappealing - mostly because of personal associations I think. There’s nothing to dislike about the sound itself, though. They’re all nice names in fact but with such different images for me.
sorry double post !
Not from the UK, but I completely agree with these sentiments. I think [name_f]Bethan[/name_f] is gorgeous. Memorable without being insanely out there. So what if she has to correct people at first? I went to school with an [name_f]Anna[/name_f] who pronounced it ON-na. After the first day of school, not one of us got it wrong.
I voted for [name_f]Bethany[/name_f]. I think it is the most unique and timeless. [name_f]Bethan[/name_f], although unique, will definitely get confused with [name_f]Beth[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] since that’s exactly how I was thinking of pronouncing it until you mentioned it was different. Although [name_f]Beth[/name_f] is very pretty, I like it best as a nickname. I think [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] feels more special. Also, not to muddy the waters, but I knew a [name_f]Bettina[/name_f] growing up which I also think is a pretty and similar name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] throwing that out there for consideration.
