I haven’t been in these forums for the longest time and my life has changed dramatically since.
I met the love of my life. A few months later, we fell pregnant. He proposed on Mother’s [name_u]Day[/name_u] and I said yes. We got married just before [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]… and now onto what you’re actually here for: our very belated birth announcement!
I gave birth to our incredible daughter [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] on [name_u]July[/name_u] 17, 2020. We call her [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] and she is an absolute dream!
She’s six months old now so it’s kind of late for a birth announcement but I wanted to share what this name nerd and her husband who loves to veto everything landed on!
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] was a name that we both loved and when we shared it with his family, his mum told us that that would have been my husband’s name had he been a girl, which sealed it for us!
[name_f]Nancy[/name_f] is after my paternal grandmother who we both love dearly and wanted to honour. She has Alzheimer’s so every time she sees our daughter is like meeting her for the first time and she’s equally as honoured to hear her name.
Honestly such a fairytale whirlwind experience for you so lovely to hear and [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] is a gorgeous name beyond beautiful.

What a precious connection to your grandmother. I know watching someone go through Alzheimer’s can be hard. I hope you continue to have good experiences with her and sweet, little [name_f]Francesca[/name_f].
