I’m between two different names and I decided to get some help from you guys. The names I’m thinking about are Michah and [name_m]Ian[/name_m]. The character is a tough guy with several tattoos with dark hair and blue eyes. He’s a serious boxer and goes to college part time. He falls in love with a girl and his life gets jumbled up. So, if you could tell me what name you think would be good, I’d love that. Other suggestions welcome!
I’d pick [name_u]Micah[/name_u] because all the Ians I’ve known are really nice guys. [name_u]Micah[/name_u] sounds tougher to me.
I think just the opposite actually. [name_m]Ian[/name_m] can sound a little rougher to me, while [name_u]Micah[/name_u] makes me think of this sweet 3 year old I baby sit. Haha! I know that wasn’t helpful, but I think any name/character can be rough if you do it right. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are similar in terms of common/uncommon.
I agree with @emily_333, [name_m]Ian[/name_m] seems rougher than [name_u]Micah[/name_u]. I have a small cousin named [name_u]Micah[/name_u] who comes from a religious family, which sways my opinion a bit.
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] is rather versatile for me. It could be a nice collegiate boy in sweater vests, or the bad boy beating up the previously mentioned collegiate boy.
