i voted celeste but, will add some input on each !!
bianca - not my style. i prefer beatrice for a “bea” name. i don’t love the b & c sounds in the same name. casper feels kinda like a soft name and i don’t really think this fits well.
ophelia - i don’t like this name really at all. i think it’s over used & over referenced/refered to. idk i don’t think it is the perfect fit for casper.
corinne - once again, i don’t think it fits very well with casper. it’s a bit too hard.
celeste - i think it fits very well with casper. idk it just feels like the right fit.
i hope this doesn’t come off as mean. i just wanted to add some truthful comments :))))))))))))))))))
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] is my favorite of these! It makes me think of the mouse from The Rescuers (books and Disney movies). It’s not a name you hear often, and I feel like it’s cute for a baby and sophisticated for a woman.
I prefer not to repeat initials for siblings, so that knocks out [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] and [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] for me. And I can’t move past the tragic association for [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] (although I know other people can, and it’s objectively a lovely name).
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have a middle name chosen already?
Middle names for us are a place to honor family. I care less about how cute the first and middle together are. I’d rather just love the first name, as that’s what I’ll call her every day. But they would be:
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] is so beautiful and underrated and got my vote! I do really like [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] too though. Any of the honor names you’re considering in the middle work great with [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] as well.
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] & [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] are so perfect together!! Both soft, sweet, and a bit magical. I also like [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]!
I meant to select [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] but I selected [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] on accident. [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is so pretty and sounds good with [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. I would definitely go with [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] if I were you.
I like [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] best with [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m], but I love [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] equally if you’re pronouncing it Cuh-rin.
Thoughts on each:
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]- I don’t love it; don’t hate it. I like that it ages well. It’s also nicely distinctive in sound.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]- Honestly, I really dislike [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. It reads hipster/trying to be cool to me. Obviously, it has a long history, but it’s risen 584 spots in the last five years, and I think it will probably go down in popularity as quickly as it’s popped up. Also, because the association with the [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] character is so strong (for me, it’s the sole association), it just seems a little random to me unless you really like [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m].
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f]- Very nice name! I like it’s trim elegance. It reminds me of a pearl- girly but not ostentatious.
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]- almost the same feel as [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]. A bit girlier and fancier I think. Very pretty!
Definitely agree about [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I have had [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] on our list for 5+ years, before I ever saw it mentioned on name boards like these. But it definitely has become a bit trendy and definitely has an overdramatic vibe that I worry about. We are both [name_f]English[/name_f] majors though, so the [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] reference is definitely the draw for us. We also like [name_f]Portia[/name_f] as a name from [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] but unfortunately it just sounds cheap now because of the car.
Thanks for your detailed opinions my husband and I have been talking in circles about these for so long it’s nice to have a fresh outlook
