I downloaded an ebook on my Nook with the name. I could barely get through the first few pages. Most of the names seem like completely bizzare names or the horrendous variations on more common names people seem to come up with.
Any hints for managing to wade through those kinds of lists??
I’ve made it through the complete 2010 and 2011 lists once. All I can recommend are prayers and chocolate. Perhaps a box of tissues when you feel you’re about to cry.
I find the easiest way to go through a big list is to put it in Excel and then start deleting.
As I’m going I usually throw the names I really like into a separate column, so that in the end I have 1 list of names I kinda like or are a bit more out there and 1 list of names I really like. Then I make a second sweep if it’s still super long.
I hadn’t thought about the “excel and delete” method. I used to just open the lists in Notepad, select and delete chunks at a time, then copy and paste what was left into my master list under the different categories. Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll be sure to try that, maybe it will make things less tedious.
