We’re not dead set on using a biblical name for this baby, but do find ourselves drawn to lots of biblical names (and our girl choice at the moment is [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]).
What do you like with [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]?
Ideas we’ve kicked around include:
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] – too…heavy? I’m having a hard time picturing it on a little boy.
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
[name_u]Seth[/name_u]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
Names we like but that don’t work:
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] – not with [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]!
[name_m]Abraham[/name_m] – can’t have an [name_m]Abe[/name_m] and a [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]!
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] – last name is [name_u]Kim[/name_u] so it slurs badly
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] – DH’s name. I actually love it, but I don’t love the idea of having a [name_m]Jr[/name_m].
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] – too close to [name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] – love it but hate [name_m]Ben[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] – my cousin just used it
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m] – I don’t want a G theme
My husband likes [name_m]Amos[/name_m] and [name_m]Barnabas[/name_m] but I’m not feeling either. I like [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m], but he detests both.
I like [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] ([name_u]Sam[/name_u]) and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] ([name_m]Nate[/name_m]) but is it weird to use another L-ending name?
Thanks!
