So I have a family near me that has 9 children. 8 boys and 1 girl. What do you think of their very biblical family?
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] (b)
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] (b)
[name_m]Amos[/name_m] (b)
[name_m]Abel[/name_m] (b)
[name_m]Abraham[/name_m] (b)
[name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] (b)
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] (b)
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] (g)
Menos (b) {prn men-ohs}
In order with the oldest being 10 ([name_m]Aaron[/name_m]) and the youngest being 3 weeks (Menos) .
I think they’re fine. Menos stands out a bit as very obscure-biblical next to the others and poor [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is the only one without a bible name but I like the sibset in general. Much better than some I’ve come across.
And 9 kids in 10 years? Wow.
It’s alright but some seem more obscure than others, e.g. Menos. Then [name_m]Aaron[/name_m], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] are very regular, while [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_m]Abraham[/name_m] and [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] are a little less common.
Wow, poor [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. She’s the only girl in such a big family. It will be interesting to see how she turns out: will she be a tomboy or a complete girl-girl as she grows up? I don’t like initial “A” matchiness of four of them, [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] share the same ending as do [name_m]Amos[/name_m] and Menos. I think [name_m]Aaron[/name_m], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] are my faves of the Biblical names.
Poor [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. Most of the boys got more interesting biblical names, and she got what may be the most over-used biblical name in the history of the world. And what’s with [name_m]Henry[/name_m]?
