hello, dear friends! 
i’m jittery writing a post to y’all again, because it feels like it’s been ages. i sincerely hope you are all doing well. i’m so excited to share that my partner and i are engaged! we’ve be together on and off for about six years now, and finally just said “to heck with it” basically. 
along with wedding planning, which isn’t much, we’re doing something small and intimate outdoors, our name discussions have been ramping up! and i’d love a little insight from all of you. i truly cannot believe that this day is here. we plan on ttc near the middle of 2024, so ofc there is time, but how can i pass up a fun name chat with all my dear berries! 
a little more about us
we met a few days before starting high school, in late august. we are both very outdoorsy, and we enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, and traveling together. i am a early childhood teacher and he works in construction in the summer, and carpentry in the winter. our plan and big dream is to buy a small farmhouse out west, fix it up, and homestead. we both want anywhere between 3-8 children, but have a feeling that 6 is our number. when we were quite young, we had a very early miscarriage, always felt the baby was a girl, and recently named her willa caroline rose.
a little about our name style
ooh! this is hard. i’ve always been a little flakey with my style, and i’ve come to realize it’s just quite eclectic with a cowboy kind of feel. he loves punchy western names- nash, colter, truett, briggs, and huck, but can be convinced of more vintage names as well- silas, harlan, and jack being a few. right now, my fiancé’s big name crush is william with the nickname “bill”. we both have been crushing on odin, lately. i saw it in a cowboy name list, and just fell for it. we’d call him odie. for our girls, we both have a very prairie-cottagecore style, with a hint of southern belle. willa, magnolia, margo, luella, clementine, and ada, for example. modern cowgirl names, such as shyla, harlow, and gentry can also be found on our list. our biggest girl name crush, as of late, is juniper with the nickname june.
i applaud you, berries if you’ve made it this far. let’s chat! what names would you suggest for us? i think overall we’re looking for something a tad retro, a tad punchy, and very unique.
