[name]Mila[/name] (Meelah) as a nn for [name]Matilda[/name]??
I know it is a MASSIVE stretch and I know it doesn’t really work but I so badly want it too. What do you think? Are they just way too far apart?

I don’t think it’s a huge stretch, honestly.
M A t i L d A - it’s all there, right there in a row.
I don’t think it as that big of a stretch, really. There are other nns for [name]Matilda[/name] that are far more intuitive, but I don’t think [name]Mila[/name] is completely out of left field or anything.

I think it works. It’s one of those things - if you call her [name]Mila[/name], other people will catch on too.
I agree, it’s not that big of a stretch though it may not be the most intuitive it still makes sense

I don’t think it is a huge stretch either. The letters really are right there spelled out. The only thing that gets to me is they feel like vastly different styles. [name]Mila[/name] feels so young and fun while to me [name]Matilda[/name] is very old and frumpy still. I guess [name]Mila[/name] could be a nice way to liven up [name]Matilda[/name] though :). If you love it, I say go for it
I like it although I always pronnounce [name]Mila[/name] like my-la.
