Blair on a boy

I know that the character on Gossip Girl is quite well-known and that could be a bit problematic. I don’t think that it would be the end of the world to have a boy and a girl in the same class with the same name. I’m just not bothered by that at all. I’m just looking for outside opinions on the name itself.

What do you think? [name]Blair[/name] on a boy?

[name]Blair[/name] is cool for a boy! I like it for a girl, too, but I am impressed when I see it on a boy. I think of [name]Blair[/name] Underwood, who makes it quite dapper and handsome, imo.

I love it! [name]Blair[/name] on a boy is in my top 3 for boys! Honestly, I don’t think Gossip Girl is going to be one of the great classics in a few years time. No one is going to remember that particular character.

And [name]Blair[/name] [name]Redford[/name]! Hello! Hottie McHotpants

I think [name]Blair[/name] is such a handsome name on a boy.

I’ve known two guys named [name]Blair[/name] and no girls, so to me it is a boy name. I think it is fine both ways.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Blair[/name] for a boy! I have considered it for my list several times and it is always on the brink of coming back. I think of [name]Blair[/name] Underwood and [name]Blair[/name] [name]Redford[/name] so I definitely think it is a handsome name! I have only known one girl with the name, she used the [name]Blaire[/name] spelling though. I cannot say that I really liked her so that makes me like it even more for a boy. I am usually a fan of very masculine names on boys so this is very different for me but I really love it!

I’ve never met a guy named [name]Blair[/name], but I’d be fine with it. However, I tend to like sort of feminine guy names.

Also, I like [name]Blaine[/name] and [name]Blaise[/name] for a boy.

It’s totally girl to me. The first time I ever heard of [name]Blair[/name] was a character on a show, he was the uber popular type. And even then I thought it was a girly name.

It’s too soft and airy for a boys name imo.

I like it. To me it has always been a boys names…one of our good friends, since we were in high school is called [name]Blair[/name] and he is a really great guy. I have NEVER met a girl called [name]Blair[/name]!

I would totally have assumed that [name]Blair[/name] was a boy (but I’ve never seen Gossip Girl). I’ve known 3 male Blairs and zero female Blairs. I also don’t think it’s a pretty name for a girl, at all.

totally works for a guy.

I would have thought [name]Blair[/name] was a male name too. [name]Blair[/name], [name]Blaine[/name], [name]Blake[/name], [name]Blaise[/name]…they’re all male names to me. I much prefer [name]Blair[/name] on a boy to a girl, though I wouldn’t think it’d be as usable in the UK because of [name]Tony[/name] [name]Blair[/name] still.

[name]Blair[/name] is my dad’s name and my brother’s middle name. [name]Blaire[/name] is my daughters middle name and now my [name]SIL[/name] is expecting and if they have a boy his middle name will be [name]Blair[/name]. Personally I love it boy or girl.

I’ve never watched Gossip Girl so I don’t make that connection. [name]Blair[/name]/[name]Blaire[/name] is a unisex nature name, so I wouldn’t know what sex the child was unless I.heard the middle name. I’ve known males and females but I prefer it on boys

I think it’s fine for either, but I like it for a girl better. It has a soft sound to it without being too girly, sort of like [name]Blythe[/name]. Another soft sounding boys name is [name]Dorian[/name].
