We are expecting a baby boy in [name_u]March[/name_u]. My hubby’s middle name is [name_u]Blake[/name_u], so he is pretty set on naming the baby that. I’m just not sure how [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] sounds though with the two hard consonants. I do like [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] or [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m].
I think [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] runs together quite a bit and doesn’t flow all that well, especially with the two short names. [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] is really sweet, but remember people rarely say the middle name anyway. [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] works better, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
Yes, it does run together. I also immediately though [name_m]Black[/name_m] [name_m]Coal[/name_m] and Bleak [name_m]Coal[/name_m]. Kind of weird word and imagery assocations. Is [name_m]Cole[/name_m] the last name or middle name?
If it’s the middle name I think it’s fine, unless you’ll be addressing him as [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] all the time. I think [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] sounds best.
I don’t think it works. It sounds like [name_u]Blake[/name_u] Hole when I say it.
I think both names are short and sweet, so they don’t mesh well. [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] or [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] would be the best options. My personal favorite isB [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m].
Sometimes I think people put too much importance on flow, but in this case I think it’s warranted. [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] is really hard to say as two separate names.
I would say keep looking
It doesn’t work at all because they are both one syllable the flow is really awkward. I also hear black hole when I read it out loud. It works much better with a two syllable between them.
I think that whether you put a nice neutral sounding buffer between [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and [name_m]Cole[/name_m] like [name_m]Liam[/name_m] or [name_m]Alan[/name_m] or not, the majority of people will not refer to him as [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m], just [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m]. And it sounds like black hole to me too when I say it. No flow at all. It sounds lime your hubby is set on using [name_u]Blake[/name_u]. But isn’t there any other family name that has relevance at all to him? I would eliminate [name_u]Blake[/name_u] all together to find a FN MN entire combo that sounds nice with your last name.
