[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
Blissent-
I think Blissent is a gorgeous and unusual name with 2 nicknames, [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] for a child and Lissy/Liss for an adult.
What do you think?
Thanks,
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] xx
I pronounce it bliss-ent.

I don’t get it at all. I’m not typically a fan of B names, but some are better than others - and this one isn’t pretty to me.
I think Blissent is pretty, unique and sweet. It has the word “bliss” in it so it seems very cheerful and lighthearted, but grounded enough for an adult. You may also like Bellicent.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you say it? [name_u]BLISS[/name_u]-ent? Because I’m in the midst of teaching myself [name_m]French[/name_m] and would have instinctively said it blee-SAHN(t). It’s interesting, but I like just [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] much more (and [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] even more than that). I don’t think I’d use it. But I’d be intrigued if I heard it.
Nope. [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] would be MUCH better. Sounds contrived.
It sounds like a made up name to me. I don’t mind made up names but this one sounds very childish.
I would be happy to meet one! I usually shy away from the unfamiliar, the names that I look at and wonder if they aren’t pronounced as intuitively as I hope, but this name is just happy looking & sounding with [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] front & center & nickname-ready. It’s only possible flaw is that it does sound like it could be one of the Reindeer in the [name_m]Rudolph[/name_m] song, but somehow I find this charming as well. It makes me think of the name [name_f]Millicent[/name_f], but full of sunshine & cheer, if that makes sense!
Exactly. It sort of sounds like a brand of chap stick.
