We are expecting our first daughter, and I would love your opinions on our name choice. [name]Blythe[/name] is set, but the middle is giving me fits. I am currently thinking the middle will be [name]Charlotte[/name]. I love the name, and it honors someone very dear to my husband who passed away recently. I know it’s rising fast, but I feel that [name]Blythe[/name] needs an easily recognizable, feminine middle. My other top choice is [name]Annabelle[/name], also honoring family members. I just don’t love [name]Blythe[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name] together as much as I do [name]Blythe[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]. Please offer insight and opinions and help us finalize lady baby’s name!
Which one?:
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
or
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is nice, so is [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]. i prefer [name]Annabelle[/name] towards [name]Charlotte[/name].
I love [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name]. I agree that I prefer the flow of [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] over [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]. I don’t think rising popularity is a concern for middle names. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] is actually one of my favorite combos.
I love both [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name], but I agree with you–[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is so much prettier than [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]! [name]Both[/name] are lovely, though. Maybe you could save [name]Annabelle[/name] for a future daughter? As either a FN or a MN? I think [name]Blythe[/name] and [name]Annabel/name would be super sweet for sisters.
I guess I’m the odd one out here. I prefer the flow of [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]. [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] looks sweet written out, but doesn’t sound melodic to me as does [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]. I think you can;t go wrong with either one, though. Congratulations!
I love both [name]Blythe[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name], but [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] feels a little incomplete for me. [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name] has a much nicer flow.
My thoughts exactly! [name]Both[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name] are lovely, but I prefer the flow of [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name]. ([name]Blythe[/name] is great by the way!)
I prefer Blythe Annabelle as well. Something about Blythe Charlotte just doesn’t sound quite right to me. It’s either the 1-2 syllable count or the “th” and “sh” sounds right next to each other. Maybe both?
Although I really like all 3 names, [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is hard to pronounce as discussed above and for some reason, I’m not really liking Bythe [name]Annabelle[/name] either. What about [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Juliana[/name], [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Camille[/name], [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name], or [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Miranda[/name] instead?
Thanks for your responses! Now I am loving [name]Pearl[/name]. It’s my [name]Nana[/name]'s mother’s name, and my [name]Nana[/name] is the one who gave me the books that inspired my love for [name]Blythe[/name]. It is also my birthstone and will most likely be lady baby’s birthstone. It’s also biblical, which will match the names of my three boys. So, what do you think of [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]?
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is my favourite!
[name]Blythe[/name] is a lovely, soft, wholesome name. [name]Blythe[/name] sounds really pretty with [name]Charlotte[/name]. I don’t think [name]Charlotte[/name] is ‘rising fast’ I think [name]Charlotte[/name] has always been popular and will always be popular like [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name] but that’s because their popular classics. Classic names that have been around for ages and are an almost guaranteed brilliant choice thus people turn to them. This doesn’t mean that [name]Charlotte[/name] is popular in the same way that [name]Madison[/name] is. [name]Charlotte[/name] isn’t trendy popular. [name]Charlotte[/name] sounds gorgeous with [name]Blythe[/name] and they work beautifully together. Whereas [name]Annabelle[/name] is pretty I prefer [name]Annabel[/name] spelling wise also as a middle name for [name]Blythe[/name] I’m not loving, would prefer [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] to be honest that works far better.
[name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is utterly gorgeous, as is [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name], but I think [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] sounds slightly better.
