Blythe or Julianna?

I love both of these names as first name options for our second daughter and can’t decide which one I like best! (Big thanks to those of you who helped me choose them from my previous list!) My oldest daughter’s name is [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name].

Thanks so much for letting me know what you think!

I prefer [name]Julianna[/name]. I think it sounds beautiful with your other daughter’s name.

Personally I prefer [name]Juliana[/name] with your other daughter’s name, [name]Claire[/name].

Have you got a middle name picked out? If not, [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] would be lovely.

I vote for [name]Julianna[/name] as the first name!

[name]Juliana[/name] (but only spelled that way). I’ve never been a fan of [name]Blythe[/name]-- it seems lispy and more of a surname. I think [name]Juliana[/name] is perfect with [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (lovely name!).

[name]Juliana[/name] because it goes well with her sister.

I love [name]Juliet[/name] too.

[name]Hi[/name]!

I think that they both go well with [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (beautiful name, by the way!)! [name]Blythe[/name] is simple, straightforward, and has a virtue-related meaning, like [name]Claire[/name]. On the other hand, [name]Juliana[/name] (I prefer this spelling) is more elegant, feminine, and is closer in popularity… I second the suggestion of [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Blythe[/name], and thought that I’d also add [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Juliana[/name], though I think that the former has better flow… Which one is better with your surname? That might help determine it… If both work well, then I guess that I’ll vote for [name]Juliana[/name]! Sorry for the long post!

Good luck!

I prefer [name]Blythe[/name], because sounds fresh and fun. [name]Julianna[/name] is a little bit shy and quiet. But with the big sister [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Julianna[/name] is really really better than [name]Blythe[/name].

i think [name]Julianna[/name] goes better with [name]Claire[/name].

[name]Julianna[/name], but [name]Blythe[/name] is more unique.

[name]How[/name] about [name]Julianna[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]?

[name]Blythe[/name] is a lovely name, but I have to say that I prefer [name]Julianna[/name] - it ages better, and I think it fits better with [name]Claire[/name].

And as others have said, what about [name]Julianna[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]? I think it’s beautiful

Oh, I love [name]Blythe[/name], especially with [name]Claire[/name]! I think [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Julianna[/name] is darling as well

Good luck

Thanks everyone! It seems that the obvious favorite for most of you is [name]Julianna[/name], which is helpful to know. I think [name]Julianna[/name] is beautiful, but I think [name]Blythe[/name] is so uncommon and fun too that I keep going back and forth. I am still not positive which way I’ll go, but I do love the suggestions of using either [name]Julianna[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] or [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Julianna[/name]! I appreciate all of your help!

I think [name]Juliana[/name] (with this spelling) goes better with [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], but they are both wonderful names. Good luck!

[name]Julianna[/name] without a doubt! It’s a beautiful name and I’m not a fan of [name]Blythe[/name] at all. I like unique names but [name]Blythe[/name] sounds too boyish to me. Having said that, I agree with others that it could make a good middlename.

As [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] has a 1-3 syllable combo, [name]Julianna[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] with it’s 3-1 combo would compliment it beautifully in my opinion.

[name]Julianna[/name] for sure! I love it and it goes great with [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] as a sister. [name]Blythe[/name] has a weird sound to me.

I think [name]Julianna[/name] is really pretty and it sounds great with [name]Claire[/name].
