Blythe?

So I really love the name [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. The way it looks and it’s meaning are perfect and I think it sounds beautiful too. However, there are some in my family who don’t really like the sound and tend to cringe whenever I say I like the name [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you guys think it’s a usually name?

I think it’s very useable! I love it’s meaning and it sounds rather soft when you say it. So I’m all for it!

I like it! It’s cute

Blythe is light, lovely and cheerful

Wow.

I can imagine wincing at [name_f]Hortense[/name_f] (which I happen to love in an I-love-it-but-would-never-use-it way). But [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] which has such a lovely, lithe, airy sound?

Nah. [name_u]Trust[/name_u] your instinct. I also think [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] makes a lovely middle too.

[name_f]Blythe[/name_f] is such a happy, lovable name! It’s so sweet! I will say, when I first heard it, it sounded quite masculine to me, on account of [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. I’ve gotten more used to it now though.

I really like [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]! It has a nice meaning and sound. (I also like it on a boy because of [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]).

I really love this name and wish it worked with my last name!

I know someone who called their daughter [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], it’s definitely usable and she only ever receives compliments on the name

I think [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] is gorgeous, and totally useable! I’m sure your family will get used to the name if it’s used on a baby.

I love [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], and what the name reminds me of ([name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] <3 and the the verb blithe in its positive sense). I can’t decide if I like it better for boys or girls. I think it’s very usable.

I like it. I think it’s useable and has a vintage vibe about it.

I LOVE [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]! When I told my sister she had a similar reaction to your family! But I think it’s so beautiful and so uncommon today.

I love [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. In this case I would suggest stop talking to other people and just use it - the family will adjust. It is unusual in the real world - not on name sites though, so regular people may think it a little odd because they are not used to it. [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] [name_m]Danner[/name_m] is a real life [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] for reference. Gorgeous, very usable, name!
