Bobbie? Robin or Barbara

I’ve been really loving [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] for a girl recently but I’m not sure about it as a full name. I don’t really like [name_f]Roberta[/name_f] but I’ve been considering [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] and [name_u]Robin[/name_u].

I actually like [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] a lot but I’m not sure whether I can picture it on a child. [name_u]Robin[/name_u] has been growing on me and I love the imagery of the robin bird but I’m not completely sure. Which one do you prefer or is there another full name for [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] that you can think of?

I would totally prefer [name_u]Robin[/name_u] of these options! I also can’t picture [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] on a baby or little girl.

I googled it and someone suggested it as a possible nickname for [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] too, which is also great IMO!

Oh I hadn’t thought of [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]! I’m not sure if [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] is as obvious a nickname but it’s a great name so that’s definitely in consideration

Robin is delightful! She gets my vote! A bit fresher than Barbara, I think. :relaxed:

I love [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] pronounced with three syllables. [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is sweet but [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] has more gravitas.

Love Robin “Bobbie” — sweet and seasonal :bird: I know a Bobby short for Elizabeth, but it’s maybe a bit of a stretch.

Babette
Bibiana
Briony
Bonita
Bonnibel
Bluebell

Surprisingly difficult to think of long names for Bobbie!

I personally love [name_u]Robin[/name_u] because I love birds, but it sounds to me like you prefer [name_f]Barbara[/name_f]. If you name your child [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] then you will be able to picture it on a little girl because it will be the name of your little girl. Because of that, I think you should go with [name_f]Barbara[/name_f], or [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] since you also like that one. [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] is a great nickname, by the way.

I know a [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] who goes by [name_m]Bob[/name_m]. So I definitely think [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] works for [name_f]Barbara[/name_f]!

Personally, I don’t mind [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] as a full name! If [name_u]Billie[/name_u] can work, why not [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u]? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

[name_f]Barbara[/name_f] gets my vote! Seem to be in the minority but I honestly love [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] and I have the same problem with not being able to picture it on a kid, but I absolutely love [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] nn [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u]!

What about [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] :relaxed::bird: I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. Both are refreshingly sweet names. I’m not generally a fan of boys/ masculine names on girls but [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] is quite cute! [name_f]Brontë[/name_f] might work too.

What about [name_f]Brontë[/name_f]?

[name_f]Barbara[/name_f] would be so refreshing on a little girl! I like [name_u]Robin[/name_u] too, but prefer it on a boy, nicknames [name_u]Robbie[/name_u].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u]!

I know a [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] and I love her name, she goes by [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] but we also call her [name_f]Barb[/name_f] or [name_f]Babs[/name_f] depending on her mood, they’re like alter egos and I love it! [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] is so cute as a nickname for [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] as well. I think that would be an unexpected and really cool choice.
I do love [name_u]Robin[/name_u] though, and [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] is more intuitively a nickname for [name_u]Robin[/name_u]. Honestly can’t go wrong either way in my opinion!
